Apparently a dead rat really stinks to high heaven ???

But appently we are all living in close proximity to rats wether we are in town or out in the wilds. In particular though in cities if you leave your back door or patio door open onto the garden ...

dead rats DO stink to high heaven..i found one behind my fridge, courtesy of my cat

i knew it was somewhere as the b****y thing had bitten me 2 days previous.....it got its comeuppance though as i think it died of alcohol poisoning having bitten me........

We had a rat get in between the upstairs floorboards and the downstairs ceiling. You could hear it scurrying above you. My husband put a rat poison down and it died but we (he!) couldn't find the body for ages. The smell was awful. This was about ten years ago. Then two years ago, it happened again. This time he used a rat trap. I was on my own when I heard the trap spring and could hear the rat screeching and trying to get out of the trap. It was horrible. My husband has sealed up every place he can think of. I sympathise with anyone who has ever had a rat.

ought to add that i got bit on the saturday night having been down the pub. I pulled everything out of my kitchen trying to find the thing and couldnt find it. Sunday I was very, very hungover and had to go to A&E as my finger was red and swollen. Monday i bought some traps, pulled the fridge out to put one there and found this huge rat (which on the saturday night thought was only a mouse).

I am NOT the sort of skank who would know that there is a rat in her house and not try to do something about it :rotfl:

  • I went to not-my-normal Ts the other day and I'm not sure what I think about what happened. It was 7.30pm, I asked the woman with the reducing gun if she was going to do any more, as the whoopsies were only about 40% off. "Not yet" she said. I when, she said about 9pm. So I said thanks, and wandered off for a look around the store, got a few bits including 13 cartons of juice. As I was queuing to pay, I could see the whoopsie section and all the staff (who seemed to be still working) were going to the reducing lady and picking what they wanted so she could reduce it further for them but she wasn't doing the whole lot, only what the staff brought her  . I finished paying and loaded my bits into the car, and as I checked my receipt I saw the SA had put 3 instead of 13 quantity on the juice, a saving of about £5 :j

I went back in, to see if the reducing lady was starting on the other stuff but nothing happening. I felt really cross at what I think happened, but as I got an accidental undercharge I kind of thought, swings and roundabouts. And the undercharge might not have been accidental, as I was very chatty with the SA that served me, she'd seemed so relieved to have some conversation with a normal person.

I don't know, I mean the staff should have the right to a whoopsie as much as the rest of us, but the reducing SA basically lied to me. Hmm. Hope I don't sound ungrateful.

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
Talking about rats and Ts, I saw one running around the card aisle in the early hours of the morning when I was on night shift so told the nearest SA, he just said it wasn't his job to sort it out but wouldn't even go to let someone else know. Reciently I've spotted one still running about the same aisles and in the same store!!! Needless to say I tend to only go in there for select items and mostly non-food ones at that :)

We went to the odeon at the red dragon centre in cardiif bay and came out to our car in the car park in the evening and there was a fox by the car. I waited (hid) while chased it off and it took some chasing, was very brazen, never moved until hubby was right up at it.
