   A call to h/o? Environmental health? I'd go bleeding mental if I saw a rat in a food shop. Dirty blighters.
Called HO and just got a 'thanks for letting us know, we'll talk to the store and get back to you' Still waiting for that call back!
Environmental health sent someone out but they couldn't find any evidence inside the store, lots outside it but it's inside that counts. They were going back at the end of this month to check that all their recomendations have been adhered to regarding the outside bin areas and they'd let me know, at least they're on the ball. :TSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

All this talk about rats......we had the inlaws around for a BBQ last summer when it was a really hot day.
We were sat on the decking down the bottom of the garden and there was this awful smell which we thought must have been from someones dustbins.
It wasn't until we noticed flies going in and out of a gap in the decking that we realised there must have been something under there. My OH got a torch and he could see a massive dead rat which had obviously been under our feet "cooking" in the heat!!
Next door kept chickens which had attracted rats and she had put poison down after finding a nest under her shed.....and the ruddy thing had come in our garden to die. It was absolutely revolting....my OH had to fish it out in a net but we didn't want to bury it incase the dog dug it up....so he put it in a bag.....carted it down the lane and put it in the dog poo bin!!!
We get loads of wildlife living out in the sticks.....always seeing badgers, foxes, herons etc....and had a very close encounter with a deer a few months ago. Walking with a friend, one of her dogs flushed a large deer out and gave chase. Luckily I was standing in a dip under a bank as the deer leapt over my head missing me by a couple of inches!!!My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... A SIMPLE check that your wife has not accidentally left Flash Toilet Wipes on top of the cistern instead of the usual Andrex moist bum wipes will avoid cross words and marital discord

This is exactly what I do, if my OH doesnt do something that needs to be done, I just mention the fact that I'll have to phone my nephew to come and do it for me... He then gets annoyed and get's it done without having to say again... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
When I phoned the council about the dead rat they told me they didn't do rats at that time of the year:eek::eek:
But could I pop it in my freezer and they'd send someone round to pick it up sometime so they could find out how it died:eek::eek::eek:
Can you imagine getting it out of the freezer thinking it was a chicken leg:rotfl:
My OH put it the bin:D0 -
And another!!!!
Never lose your TV remote control again. Simply sellotape it to the back of your dog, and hey presto! Whistle, and the device is at your beck and call!
