Did find those powerball finish thingy's from the good ole DTD days, im sure i remember them being £10 now £2.43http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=finish&domainName=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=164889
Got trouted badly in N*eath A*bbey on the batteries. Saw sel b1g1f and asked a supervisor if it included AA and AAA which she replied yes its all the duracell in the large boxes at the front of the till area. (just to cover myself) so picked up 8 packs, paid and off I trot to CS. She tries to convince me that it was the tesco brand b1g2f and I had made a mistake, she then demands I show her where I had got them from (from this point I could see this was not going to go my way from her attitude) so I show her and there just so happens to be a manager standing there right where the batteries are and conversation goes just like this....
CSA to manager..this lady has bought a substantial amount of batteries but the offer has finished (shows the manager the yellow sel with offer on that I had shown her)
Me...I hardly think 8 packs is a substantial amount.
Manager....this is ridiculous, I told them to make sure all labels were taken down on friday. Turns to me angrily and says sorry offer has finished you cant have them at that price.
Me....I dont want them at that price now I can see you have overcharged me
Manager...well what do you want then?
Me....DTD as I have been overcharged
Manager...You shouldnt have bought them in the first place as the offer has finished
Me...But I asked a supervisor before I purchased them to confirm the offer was still running otherwise I would not have bought them, I can point her out to you if you wish
Manager...why did you ask a member of staff?, you might as well have asked a member of the public and got the same answer.
Me...so your saying if I need help with pricing in your store I should not ask a member of staff as they dont know what they are talking about?
Manager...yes thats what I said
Me ...well I think that you should be honouring your price promise as it was not my mistake but your stores mistake for charging me more than what was advertised, which is your policy.
Manager...you can have them at b1g1f and thats all im willing to do
Me...no thank you I will have a full refund, your name and head offices number please
He gives me a refund, his name and cs number, I then smile turn to him and say...Thank you, see you tomorrow after I have spoken to cs and they tell me to come back and get my dtd, oh and hopefully send you on a training course on company policy and how to speak to customers properly. His face was red with thunder but I felt a whole lot better for it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am usually a very quiet placid person, I dont know what came over me
Oh BRAVO! :T:T:T:T:TThat is so true, me and Czerchy were in the same store yesterday in the afternoon buying 1p choccies but we have'nt a clue who each are:cool:
Zippy and I worked out that we'd missed each other by 10 mins max. at CS one early morning last week both getting DTD on the same thing! It's so funny! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I am not going it is the wife daughter and grandson visiting the wifes brother who lives over there they are going to Khon Kean Bangkok and maybe Krabi/Phukhet. If I have time I may join them
If you are going to Bangkok the best trip I have ever been on on holiday was from there, it was a whole day long and we went to visit the war graves of the men who built the railroad to Burma. We then walked over the Bridge over the River Kwai, then got on the old wooden train and traveled, I think, about 60 miles on it. We also visted a museum of drawings, photos and letters from these brave men.
A totally wonderfull day out that will never be forgotten.
Advice for Phukhet would be to hire motor bikes and go out and discover the island for yourself. A must visit would be to the Big Buddah, incredible.
Sorry folks , just dawned on me, this is soooo off topic.Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -

I have heard scratching in our loft for the past 3 months, bought mouse traps (wishful thinking, rather than rat traps) I am way to scared to go up there and DH still cant be bothered to do it. Have many sentimental things up there and hoping they have not gnawed into any of it. The thought sends shivers down my spine. Really need to give DH a kick up the butt, think he is secretly scared too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
In our old house we had noises in the loft and it was squirrels so it could well be them, they climb up flat walls of the house and can get in tiny holes:eek:Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Apparently a dead rat really stinks to high heaven ???
But appently we are all living in close proximity to rats wether we are in town or out in the wilds. In particular though in cities if you leave your back door or patio door open onto the garden ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
