Ps2 £49 at Asda (merged)

Yes, not only got a PS2 to replace my faulty one, but an x-box with King Kong, Time Splitters 2 Rainbow Six 3 and Halo 2. Both priced at £49.

Tried the self-scan till, but the display came up with 'Customer limit exceeded' after I tried the xbox, so I paid for the PS2, then scanned the x-box as a seperate transaction.

Gonna be a great weekend of games

Oh, this was in Taunton, about 10 ps2's left and about 3 x-boxes. 30 minutes ago.

There were 3 left at Stafford Asda about an hour ago.

I got one to replace sprogs original PS2. He's had it for years and has a lot of games. He got an xbox 360 for xmas but still keeps going back to his PS2 (when he's not glued to W of W that is....)

Comet had very cheap PS2 games recently,including the xfactor mic and game for £4.99 and dance mats with game for £9.99.

A mate picked one up for me and was told the first 28 Days warranty is with ASDA, after that with Sony. I got it a pressie for someone with a birthday in May, so that's a pain.

Looks like they'll have to have it early, don't want to be potentially sitting on a doa/faulty PS2 for 3 months!

It's 28 days if you change your mind. If it's faulty, it's a year from purchase, with receipt.

sonys 12 month cover starts when the product is registared not when the product is purchased .. i also know from experience that when the sony courier arrives to collect the console .. they dont even look at it .. they just hand u the replacement ,, sony has a wonderful replacement service similar to that of virgin mobile.

My husband got up early this morning and came back with the ps2 in asda at 7am. Our son has the ps2 but it'll only play certain games (we have to check the back of the casing when chosing games, and can only buy dvdrom games so we are limited) Anyway our son is over the moon..... So am I, as this is a cheaper option as Sony where currently offering us a refurb ps2 in exchnage for our sons ps2 at a cost to us of £65 !!

:mad: However, my silly hubby with the help of his works mates have gone back to asda and bought more 3 more ps2's, plus a xbox with 4 games. Idiot wants to sell them for profit on ebay... Hmmmmm, he did not think that others would do this and sell for more !! He's is trouble with me when he gets home .
