Picked mine up this morning at 8.30am - sent me mum down while I was at work! Haha. Mine was the 7th one sold today so at that rate they must be sold out by now.

Spoke to a dude in ASDA yesterday, he reckoned they had over 50 PS2s in stock. This was Longwell Green in Bristol BTW.

It's a brand new title (officially released tomorrow I think) so it will be expensive for now.

Great deal got one this morning - Ideal for my young kids for their first games console.

Was going to pay £100 at christmas for this.

we got our ps2 this morning.
my original one broke about 5 months ago, and ive got a 360 now which i love to bits, but the ps2 is for singstar/buzz/guitar hero (in other words, games for when friends are round)

Just read in my local paper that Asda all over the UK are doing PS2 consoles for £49.99 for one week only. :j :j

Seems a bit hit and miss.
Last night they had no stock in, and hadn't been officially told about the offer. They didn't know if they would be having deliveries in the night.
They obviously did, as I managed to get one first thing this morning. :T
Later saw another store which actually had a board outside advertising them, and they still seemed to have plenty in stock......and this was in the afternoon.
Neither had the x-box, nor knew anything about that offer.
Also, neither stores had the ps2 on open display, sa had to go into the back to get them......so thye could have had hundreds stockpiled out back.
Mine was the black slimline one - about a quarter of the size of our old one.
Silver ones still scanning at £99, which is what Tescos are still advertising them for.
I was told Asda give a 28 days guarentee, and the remaining 11 months is with Sony.

Got mine from ASDA Hartlepool this morning, girls behind the counter said they had been selling steady.

Also had the XBox in our store at £49.99 but only two games with them up here so I turned that one down.

So, any links for some cheap games then? Singstar / XFactor, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawks, SSX... all that sort of thing anyone? Wish I had known that I was going to get a PS2 when I read about all those R&Rs on the games!
