Went up to Asda explicitly to get a PS2. £89.99 and nobody's heard of this £49 thing! Damn I wish I'd printed out their website:

I was very cheeky and bought a PS2 and Xbox today with the intention of keeping one and selling one on.
Problem is, the last time I used one of these games thingys it was an ATARI ST (now in the attic) and I dont really know which one if any I should keep. I dont really want to start spending out on controls and games and such and the xbox comes with 4 games but then, am I right in thinking that PS2 games are cheaper and more available.
Whadya think or should I toss a coin?

Xbox360 backward compatibilty list - They do update it, but not as often as you'd like.

Just been down to Asda Oldbury west midlands and they have all sold out on the day and wont be getting anymore in and next week the price goes back upto £99. The guy said it was a special "when its gone its gone" offer.

One of my neighbours works for our local Asda.

She told me that their stock was ALL sold to staff without even coming out of the cage they arrived in.

She reckons they had all left the store even before 6am yesterday!!
