I'm fairly new to this thread so I often feel a bit left out but just put it down to not knowing everyone so well. I really enjoy reading it though and occasionaly posting especially when we've all got a good conversation going like today. I think this thread and board is sooo good because everyone is so caring and accepting but nothing is perfect and sometimes people get overlooked but please dont leave us!!!!!!!!
My boyfriend is forcing me to be in the Wright Stuff audience tomorrow morning with him which I'm NOT looking forward to. How can I get out of it??
Just at work today so nothing else to report.
Hugs to all

Hello!!
What a morning! I haven't stopped and my phone's been manic. Made an effort today and dressed up a bit to perk myself up a bit.
Just been out to get a sarnie and got a free yohurt with it which I'm pretty pleased about.
It's really warm in this office today for some unkown reason - normally it's freezing!!
Anyway, hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

I had always thought, that although i dont thank anyone unless they have helped/mentioned/amused me, i do know that some will thank as a way of saying, thanks for posting, i have read what you have put. So if all these people have read my post, in my distressed state, i took that as no-one really caring, and that what ive had to say hasnt been important.
As one of the 'guilty' ones I can only say how sorry I am to have unwittingly hurt you.
As a single old biddie with no family I tend to leave the advice to people with more personal experience.
I use the Thanks Button as a way of saying "I have read your post and am thinking of you" without butting in.
(I did once ask how people found the super smilies they use but no-one replied)
However if using it is interpreted as meaning "I don't care" then I have misunderstood and can only apologise again for being a stupid old woman.0 -

I think people use a website called something along the lines of "smiley central" .....GC - March 2024 -0 -
It's really odd isn't it that so many of us feel the same way
I think it just shows that if one person says something then everyone else feels like they can also talk about things in a more open manner which is surely the point of this thread.
I think we can all get a little paranoid at times and it's nice to know that you aren't on your own. I think no matter what day you having from skydiving to just being at work we can all still learn / feel motivated etc by each other and I know I would be lost without this as my little outlet
I am as guilty as the next for not perhaps re-posting throught the day as I feel like I have nothing to add but I think that if you only ever get one thanks for a post then someone has read it and taken notice of what you have said.
Sorry, it appears my soapbox has travelled with me today :rotfl: :rotfl:You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Im feeling bad now im making people feel guilty - that wasnt my intention at all. I only put my story because people were saying how sometimes they feel ignored on the thread (much like the smiley question, and catzines daughter) I know people are busy, and i dont expect anyone to be interested in my life, but it is when you are down and on your own that thinking someone has read your post, and just gives a hug (even if there are no words) it can make all the difference.0

Hi everyone!
Hugs to all those who need them I myself was rather crotchety first thing but OH and I have had a chat and he's going to help me a bit more because sometimes I find this working full time/running the home and thinking for 3 a bit overwhelming [don't get me wrong he is very supportive and does pull his weight]
Anyhow onwards and upwards OS hasn't really happened much today save for bed making and cleaning Madam's litter tray out. Tonight we've got a salmon and pasta bake thingy for tea. Have also decided to use a lovely red sequinned box I got from Mr T after Chrimbo for a song for my friend's birthday and inside I am going to put in some of my favourite quotes. She is leaving shortly to return to Germany permanently so this will be her last birthday here.
Hope you all have sunshine where you are today.

Roz_V - Are you sure you're not me posting?????
I feel exactly the same as late, I am really struggling with Uni this year as well as work and even though I have a 4,000 word assignment due in a month and a 20,000 word dissertation due in two months I just can't be bothered!
I just appear to have lost all of my get up and go lately and the worst thing is I think I have got to the stage where I just can't be bothered to do anything about it.
Sorry as well for sounding so down
Big HUGS to everyone, especially catowen - I have very few friends and I must admit I would be devastated if my friend was moving that far away. My best friend moved 150 miles away recently and some days it feels like he has moved to the end of the earth so I understand exactly how you feel. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Hey all!
Stefejb - hope all goes swimmingly for DD today. Edit - sorry, just read what happened. Big Hugs! Hope she clears up for next week
Another day off, will really have to go in tomorrow or there'll be no money this month!
Beef in red wine is still in the slowcooker... It wasn't ready in time for last night's tea
Just finished writing letter to Nationwide with all the docs they want to underwrite my mortgage - I'm getting excited and scared :eek!
Hope everyone is well
(must agree I don't always post, but I like to see what everyone's upto!)
(cattie1 and Bargain Rlz - I grew up in a strict household. My first BF [and hence kiss] was at 18, but being from a strict background kisses were it IYSWIM. My second [and current, and hopefully last and only] BF I met at 20 and he's the best. I'm 22 in April, and I have to admit being shocked at the way even my brother's friends carry on... Maybe that's why I'm OldStyle...)
Love and hugs ((()))

I would also like to apologise, I do read the posts and thank them but as I am at work (and my managers sit behind me) I often have to be quick, so I think of a few quick replies to people to let them know my thoughts e.tc.
I don't mean to ignore anyone, I also am fairly new here and sometime think I can't give as good as advice as others, and also I can't think of anything to say, and like math always put "hugs to those who need/want 1" which I mean to be for everyone.official dfw nerd club member no 214
