    Hugs Catowen

I remember responding to your original post. I'm sorry I didn't respond to the other one- I do remember it.

Often my problem is that I just don't have time, I really do skim the thread (something I do too often in reading generally), and just don't pay enough attention.

Also - I'm not very good at expressing myself (partly due to time, partly cos I'm just rubbish) and sometimes even I have misconstrued what I meant to say when I read it back to myself (not noticing it was myself cos I was busy skimming againg - IYSWIM).

    Hugs to all.

I think I'll just keep an eye on you all for a bit and see how things go.

    take care of yourselves.

    Whaaaaaat!!!

I missed this - see too much skimming.

Shez - I really hope this is the right thing (I know you weren't happy). Not knowing your circumstances I don't know whether to congratulate your or commiserate - either way you need  .

(and again I can't stop myself from posting even though I said I wouldn't)

  • Crikey, well I'm definitely guilty as charged, at my advanced age I can barely remember my own name, but it doesn't mean that I don't read all the posts and sympathise/smile at them. I've never met any of you but regard you as my online friends and hate to think that any of you are feeling left out. So I apologise to Catowen and anyone else who feels lost and lonely and send a belated <hug> to you all :grouphug:

Today has been BLISS for me, started off with a scoot round the supermarket (NOT Mr T ;) ) where I treated myself to two bargain bowls of hyacinths (forgot to plant any in the autumn and I do love them). Did a quick wash and brush up of the dirtiest bits of the house (did a kind of Flylady whip through yesterday) and have spent the rest of the day pottering and sewing, the kind of day that really relaxes me. Some of my seeds are starting to show their noses  much to my amazement so now I have to find out what I have to do next....

Shez, I'm about to do the same thing! The man I have been working for has turned out to be an absolute pig, a real control freak who spends his time finding fault and shouting at me, so tomorrow is Goodbye Day for him, although he doesn't know it yet :rotfl: good luck in finding something better.

Ack, memory has failed me yet again, but PP I hope you sort out a cleaner soon, RosV, this will pass, chin up chicky, my DD22 is going through the same thing but stick at it, good luck and love to all of you.

    Hello again

Another quick pitstop, before Dinner will be ready, Ive just ironed uniforms for work/school tomorrow.

Pooky I remember the days when I used to cut my fringe! One time, my hair was wet, and I used my fingers as a guide, instead of cutting the lower side of fingers (ie the flat side) I cut the knuckle side. When my hair was dry, My fringe was about 1" in length. I couldnt even blend it in with the reat of my hair, as the time - it was long! That was 10yrs ago, Ive never done it since - :rotfl:

smokeybabe Ive been meaning to say, I love the little pics you put on, the sentiment ones are lovely, and even the little cartoon ones gives me a smile.

Can I just add, like some people - I do read & forget at times what people have posted. I usually tend to write my post, respond to that individual, then go back and carry on reading, when It goes onto the next page, I copy & paste what Ive typed (in hope that I dont lose it) and carry on.

OH just come home, so will serve dinner.
    be back later
    Love Emma xxx

Shez - I know you've not been enjoying your job for some time now (see you're not invisible ;) ) I hope it's the right thing for you :grouphug:
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Afternoon all... had a mega busy morning. Had a bit of a lie in and then had a doc's appointment. From there, I visited pharmacy and post office. Bus into town to do a few more jobs. Productive but dead tired!

Now I'm back at home and the flat is looking really bad... I am going to blitz the lounge and have a good old tidy up in the kitchen too... and maybe make some pancakes. Bed couold do with changing so may well get round to that... but it may well keep til 2moro evening...

Hello to everyone :hello: including loren83

I'm another person who sometimes skims and sometimes reads, so I'm as guilty as charged. :( I honestly don't mean to ignore anyone, but I normally write such drivel anyway. I do have to say a huge thank you to all those people who e-mailed and PMed me when I was having that awful time at work in November last year. You were all so kind and supportive.

(((Roz))) - I have felt exactly like that before. It's pretty terrible, isn't it? I often feel that I don't "fit in", even if I do.

 at Shez....... tell us more! (I'm a nosey mare!)

Penny Pincher - I'll come round and clean your house for £9.50/hr! Seriously, I'd give the company one last chance and then assess the situation.

I'm another one who didn't have their first kiss until they were 17. I'd never had the chance OR the inclination before then - unless you count Morten Harkett when I was 8. :D Or my beloved Rory Underwood, who I still get excited about when I see him at the rugby! ;) In fact, DH was also my "first and only partner", if you get my drift. I'd never felt that way about anyone else.

As for Ash Wednesday being a day of fasting, as a CofE I'd never seen it as that BUT having a Catholic mother and grandmother it was always observed as being a day for not eating meat. In fact, we're having yellow sticker cod tonight. For lent, I have given up chocolate and coca-cola which normally proves quite easy. However, my birthday always falls during Lent, so I haven't been able to have a chocolate birthday cake for some years now. Maybe I should change my tactics for next year?:D

Work was ok today, but it was in a school that I feel that I never teach my best in. It's a really odd feeling, but I don't feel comfortable there. As it is, they had advertised for 3 new teachers there (it's on a new housing development, so the school is still growing) and I didn't bother applying because the atmosphere just doesn't feel "right". I'm going to a LOVELY school tomorrow, where I instantly relax, but isn't too far away from the one today. Weird feeling! :o

    Take care everyone

shez you snook in there whilst I was posting
Good for you gal - walking out on your job, good luck with finding something more suitable and quickly. I was off sick for sometime in my last job, I had no intensions of going back, so i was job hunting during my free time. Luckily it paid off, as I have a new job now. And its brill!! A few hic-cups at first, but soon got over that!

pen-pin my cousin runs her own cleaning/caring business, she charges her clients £7.50 ph. I would certainly complain about your treatment recently! If my cousin cant get cover, she goes and does the work herself!
