woah what a lot of posts on here today. To those of you who've felt ignored, I know exactly how you feel, not so much on here for me personally, but I've definately felt like that when I've posted on other forums. I know I'm guilty for not commenting, I tend to post on here first thing in the morning when there's only about 10 posts, and then only sometimes do I read all the posts once I get home. If I do, I know for well that by the time I get to the end I've forgotten what was posted at 9am ! Though that doesn't help those of you that have felt ignored, so I will try harder.
I went for a walk at lunch as the weather was so nice and took my camera with me. Haven't looked at the photos yet, but I'm hoping that I have a couple of nice ones. Plus it stopped me spending money - hurrah.
Hope everyone has a good evening, am going to see what else has been posted on MSE today.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
well thanks you lot - due to an overriding sense of [strike]nosiness[/strike] [strike]curiosity[/strike] deep concern I have added to the share value of Hilton hotels by having another night of internet. i did balance it though by not having any room service and moving my !!! down to Tesco for a BLT and a Flake:o (and a bottle of wine cheaper than a glass from the bar) :money: would be proud of me (or maybe not:o )
Catowen ((((((((hugs))))))))) I know I would be one who didnt acknowledge you because Im generally carp at remembering to mention folks - doesnt mean I dont care though honest.
Pooky - Tell DH ta for his efforts - didnt get to me but did wonder why my delegates had sugar and lemon smiles this morning:rotfl:
Queenie - You are the boss and we love you now get yourself better and get back on here with some decent patterns for knitting a millionaire:D
Ok now here in lies the problem which I think lies at the core of this: I now want to just chat but maybe by doing that I have left people out and therefore make people feel bad cos I havent recognised them?
A quick question which I will ask and then duck and run for cover:D
Those of us asking why we get ignored by others - do you all recognise and acknowledge everyone else on the thread yourself or do you have the same thinking that you will mention where you think its appropriate or needed? If the answer is that you dont mention everyone (and with 200 posts who can) then you have made someone else feel ignored too (without any intent of course) I used to thank everyone as well and have chosen not to do this now as I personally think its crazy when someone gets 20 odd thanks for each of their 10 one line posts (slight exaggeration but you know what I mean) anyway thats my opinion and like belly buttons we all have one of those:D so I will acknowledge people when I feel its important or I have something to add and thank when I think their posts are useful for me or just generally.
Im getting good at these sermons it would appear:rolleyes:
Hugs to everyone

Donny-gal - Thanks for your offer, I may just take you up on it as I know I need to do something to get my !!!!! into gear :rotfl: :rotfl:You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Evening everyone,
Just wanted to send Big Hugs to all.
I know I don't post and acknowledge like I used to but do read everyday or night;) When I first joined I felt if I didn't post everyday I would'nt be accepted into the group, of course I don't feel like that now, hence I'm more relaxed and join in when life permits me to IYKWIM. I never travel too far from the OS board as its where I really belong:D
Penny - Loving your thread on the greenfingered board :T
Have a lovely evening & take care

OMG - See this is why I need to check the daily in the evening as I would have missed this and not known what everyone was on about tomorrow!!!!
Need to read ahead now to see if there is an explination for this, however I will take a chance and say good on you
(apols obviously if I read on and find out this is because of a bad reason)
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
I like to read what ever one is up to, whether its humdrum or mega exciting.
its life.
I dont reply to every post. thats not done out of malice, its just impossible.
I'm sorry if people feel hurt. I would never have intended to upset anyone but I know what it feels like. I have often found myself "killing" a thread - putting the last post down....and noone adds anything. Its easy to take offence but I'm sure its not meant. normal life etiquette doesnt really apply online. written words can be misconstrued, a lack of a reply can seem like a slight when it could be the thread has fallen off the page and noone else sees it again...
anyway apologies if I have made anyone feel bad.
today has been a bit of a wash out. at work in the morning. went to bed for a little siesta as I had been up at 3am with insomnia only to wake up at 7pm!!
so the day has disappeared. off for the rest of the week so I have lots of studying to catch up with. greatx x x0 -

Nelski, I love your posts because they allways bring great humour to the thread (as does Pooky's tumbling panda, and Catzine I miss Sylvester)
There are other Avatar things I love too - but those are the ones that stand out - oh and Nelski, I do mean what you type makes me smile (love your avatar too)... as do many other posters.
Hmm, time to shut up me thinks.... except to say Shez, can you let me know that you got my PM? Not sure what to say re work - except I hope it works out well for you (nothing worse than a job that makes you miserable)
Catzine - thanks for posting that welsh cake recipie. I did Pm someone with the link to the original post requesting they add it to the new recipie index thread but even I can't find it now!!! Glad they worked out well for you - I made a x3 batch the other day and they were gone in 2 days!!!!
Really am going to go and shut up now. Have got some good news to tell you all..... but going to keep it until tomorrow

Have only managed to read the first 4 pages of todays thread. I feel quite sad at people's posts today. I read the daily thread as best as I can and use the thanks button to acknowledge that I have read and care/sympathise. I do find it difficult to remember everyone who needs a special mention sometimes especially when thread is long, but I do try and send hugs and thoughts to all who need them.
I just love to have a new set of friends that I can maybe off load too. I am not a domestic goddess and don't often mention what I have done in the house - so long as DH and I can live with it, it is fine with me. I do, however, like to get my bargains and have been totally converted to things like Stardrops, vinegar etc. I have started a recipe file on the computer which I add to from this thread plus others.
OK sometimes I don't have a lot to say and don't feel I need to post if I haven't time. not read stuff etc etc. But I love being able to be part of all your lives, good and bad times. This is life and if anyone ever says their life is just perfect, well, sorry I don't believe it!!!
I don't want this to sound abrasive, just that I do care about everyone I have been communicating with here and I really feel it has brought a new dimension to my life.
Anyway, love and hugs to all and night night from
GB xxxx0
