    Hiya
I've had another no spend today and am working all day tomorrow so won't be able to spend. Going well so far but I guess there's a lot of time left yet.
Trying not to go out too much so I can't spend!

Well, another day heading towards the evening and nothing spent.

I did have a problem with something on my laptop today and took it back to the shop to be reloaded. Last time we took it they did it for nothing and this time they wanted to charge me £14.99

I had been having "one of those days" and this really was the last straw when I am trying so hard not to spend money! So I burst into tears!!! (not deliberately you understand) and the guy obviously couldn't handle a crying snivelling woman so gave me the reloaded software without charging!!

    Result

Great tactic hypno, I wonder if it works at the supermarket checkout.

No spend day for me also. I didn't even give any pocket money to my older daughters, which I usually do on a Friday.

Unfortunately my OH got over excited having had his best earning month in years, and spent £30 in IKEA!!

Tomorrow is going to be tough as I have to buy some trainers for my son (necessity) and he is a nightmare for wanting everything he sees in the shops

But to spend only £30 in IKEA seems like success to me!!

We don't have an IKEA anywhere near us, so when we do venture near to one, the credit cards took a huge hammering and a small artic lorry would have been required to get everything home!!!

Those days long behind us now.....

LOL I love the Ikea/Truck Hypno, we've all been there!

I am pleased to report that my Mum came to visit today, we had coffee and a pastry (she paid), I showed her some new plates I really want for new flat, and she bought me the side plate to see if it would match a fabric I've got for wall decor and curtains, pleased to say it matches perfectly so thats gone onto my birthday list.

So another no spender for me!
I'm glad to see another new addition, so welcome to KatieRose, glad to hear your no spends have been going well!

Made myself lunch today, and making my dinner out of the freezer. BF is now back from Barcelona so will be seeing him later for some much needed love and affection :)
Might have to feed him as well.............. but got stuff in cupboards for that one. I'm also going to tell him I really have to watch my spending now that my outgoings per month have increased but I wont tell him about this challenge. He already thinks I'm weird enough...... in a loving way obviously!

Seaxwyn, unfortunately theres nowt we can do about OH's spending so I wouldnt count that as yours, what he gets up to in Ikea is his business lol!

I'm off to dive back into packing and write those all important letters to say, dont bill me anymore, I've moved :)

  • Hi, another no spend day for me too (Yippee!!) :j :j

Friend asked did I want to go out and watch rugby tomorrow, but told her I couldn't as I have given up spending money for lent - now she really thinks I've lost the plot!!! So really chuffed with myself, as payday is today and not even tempted :T

One question though, I was waiting to payday to buy Martin's Money Diet, but now am doing this challenge I shouldn't really buy it - or could this be seen as a necessity? :D I await you replies before I make my final decision on this one!!!

Good luck everyone, we are doing grand!
