Just checked calendar to see how many days until Easter & was quite surprised that we have got so long to go.. it seems that no spend has been here for ever. Don't get me wrong, I mean it in a good way only a couple of weeks in and spending on a coffee makes me think that I have been very naughty!!! It just shows how easily we can become acustomed to a new regime!

I scored today 'cos there was a free lunch at a briefing at work... brought home lots of fruit that wasn't used. I left the fresh pineapple that was the centre of the display but next time will take a bigger handbag!!

The downside of all this is that I had hoped to loose weight due to no coffees and cookies at work or the chocolate bars bought with fuel, but the scales still say "you fat B*****'

Never mind, well done all of us!!

Just working it out and we are now on day 16 (including Sundays) and that is over a third of the way there :j :j

Still no spends for me in all of those days, but finding that working all hours god sends does help :rotfl: :rotfl: Looking forward to Sunday - not so that I can 'legally' spend money, but it will be my first day off in 14 days so soooo looking forward to a lazy day. :D

Good luck to each and everyone of us doing this challenge - keep up the good work! :T

Have found this harder the last few days, perhaps having a stinking cold is not helping!

however, I am trying to become more focussed again.

Keep up the good work everyone x

aarrgggh ... had to spend £3.50 on a new pack of tights just now as i had a massive ladder down the front of one leg (they're black opaque so REALLY obvious) ... this has got to be an "essential" and not counted as "stuff" please???? went to primark and tesco and they only sold them in packs of 3 or 5 (which is really annoying as i've got loads at home).

brassiclint, - of course your tights are essential - and I'm glad you had a clothing emergency because this morning I had to buy a pair of shoes!

I realised with a heart sinking lurch while on the station platform that i was still wearing the manky ten year old trainers I had put on to take my kids to school. I had an important meeting so had to buy some shoes en route and unfortunately was on Upper Street, Islington, where cheap shoes are not to be found. So spent £49.95, but I'm trying to think of it as an investment in my freelance career.

Also bought a cup of tea for £1.10 as I hadn't been able to have that essential second cup this morning.

£51.05 - and only necessary because I was rushing.

Snap! :rotfl: I find this most upsetting, got quite used to not buying all those extras but NOT losing any weight is
Don't miss buying chocolate etc... am really surprised about that, but do miss my magazines and my charity shop fix (bet they miss me too;) )
Will be interesting to see what I'll do after Easter! Will I go mad with shopping? Hope not :o

  • Only spend for me was a top up of groceries (fruit etc) and that's all in the budget. So far this month I've taken £10 out in cash, and I still have over £5 left, last month in total I took over £100 out in cash, I know it's only the beginning of the month, but even still. I'd really like to have all my debts paid of by the end of this year, and maybe just maybe if I keep this up for a few months and throw all the spare at the end of the month at the debts I'll do it.
