    IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?

    IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?

Another nsd for me - mind you OH not doing very well - bought fish and chips last week for him and kids (£6.20) and some sort of tool today (£6.99) and yes and topped up his beer supply (£13.99) He keeps reminding me though that it is ME who has given up spending from lent and not HIM :p

Should have been like Expertwannabe and got all the family involved - good idea that kidda :T
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

    Hi TurnaroundSue

My OH is just the same. He's very kindly doing all the food shopping and he keeps coming back from Sainsbury's with the most expensive brands of cereal and individually packaged salads and sandwiches for the kids' school lunches!

i really can't believe how easy this is AND how much of a difference it is making to the bank balance ALREADY! Really goes to show how much i really do spend on stuff.

Had a moment of uncertainty on saturday. BF was round friends for the day and I really fancied fish n chips (on weight watchers but had saved loads of points). Couldn't decide whether spending £2 on fish n chips constituted a "treat" or whether it would be more economical than buying groceries to make dinner at home (had nothing in and hadn't planned to do a weekly shop until sunday). Anyway, was planning to stop at chip shop on way back from parents, realised i didn't have my purse any and "borrowed" £2.50 of my dad ... i was 50p up!!! And didn't break my lent!!

Good going everyone else ... how many days have we got left?

A congrats card for my sister as she'd just had her baby. I went out to get one with £1 in my pocket, ironically that was the nicest one I found in the shops that were open as well as the only one in my budget (most were over £1)

Only spend for me yesterday was postage on things that I'd sold which don't count.

    HI all

Just postage and milk for me yesterday, and the postage was an Amazon sale and a competition entry.

    Today should be the same.

Then Weds and Thurs I'm in London where there's more temptation but I think I can hold out against those delicious coffees.
