Giving up Money for Lent

I managed another NSD yesterday. Have planned all meals for month so won't waste money on 'feeding the freezer'. I am concerned about tomorrow though as I arranged for a lift into the city to meet a friend and I know it will involve spending! If I take a flask she will think I am crazy. I did arrange this before I decided to give up money for lent so maybe I can justify it that way.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

How about just taking cash and only take the amount you are prepared to spend, atleast that way you can't overspend. Plus you'll have to think twice before buying anything as you only have a limited amount of money with you.
Good luck.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Hey gang!

Hiya
I've managed a few more NSDs as not been out of the house. Really wanted to buy a sandwich for lunch but made toast instead. I hope this way of thinking carries on. I know there's still a lot of the month left but if it carries on this way i'll have saved loads. Hope it's going well for everyone.

Oh dear, I have blown my good intentions of not spending today. I just spent £22 on a haircut and 80p on a flapjack.
I am tired today and look and feel 100 years old. Tomorrow I have some designers pitching to me and I know they will be really well presented, I couldnt face going along looking like down and drab. So thought a haircut would give me a lift and it has.
But... the worst is yet to come... I've booked myself in for hair colouring on Friday as well - that will be £25 and I know I could do it myself for a fraction of the cost.
So I'm feeling a bit foolish and fed up with myself. At the same time, I can't stand looking so ancient.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
I consider a haircut as essential not an extra, so I wouldn't worry about it.
As for the colouring..... naughty girl, oops I mean (100 year) old womanHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

It's just a hiccup and tomorrow's another day, if you're regretting the colouring you could always cancel it. The way I see it, if I'm feeling miserable I tend to spend more, if it's given you a lift then that has to be a good thing:)Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Hi, SP is really right, we can't change what's been done & I echo the view that haircuts are essential.
Cancel that colour if you can do it yourself but I once did and ended up bright orange!!:rotfl:
Which is why I am now clicking pigsback like no tomorrow in order to get a John Lewis voucher for my hairdressers partnership do without spending during Lent>
I did spend today though:mad: at meeting today a sort of friend was all upset & I took her for a coffee - spent 90p from the loose change I keep in purse incase need to pay for parking. I consider it money spent with good intentions, but later was a bit miffed, she recovered very quickly!!!
Currently I'm rooting around the house to find something to send to DGD who is only 2 1/2 I often pick up little things & post to her but with no spend??!!
Anyway dear peeps keep up the good work.. looking forward to easter!0 -
