When I was signed up with AutoAid, they refused to recover me after an accident because the vehicle was damaged (only slightly - exhaust hanging off, puncture, and dent in tailgate) and I didn't have any private land to put it on. I now get full RAC cover with Tesco Clubcard Deals.0

Hi...I'm trying to find breakdown recovery as an Xmas present for my son but am coming across a few problems... My son does not live with me and I wanted to get a 'policy' to give him Christmas day but RAC, AA, Green Flag etc have said that because I am registering the car in his name and his address the policy could not be sent to me...even though I am paying for it
. One of them (can't remember which) said that I can ring for a quote...save the quote..then get him to ring up Christmas eve to confirm the details and he would be covered from then.... the whole point was for it to be a surprise for him to open on Christmas morning
Can anybody tell me if they can think of a way round this? or is it back to the usual boring socks and pants again for Christmas :rolleyes:0 -

I wish the thanks and the quote buttons were further apart !
Somewhat off topic, but what do you get for £168 a year ?"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I got RAC breakdown cover (only the basic £33 one) but topcashback gave me £21 cash back. Therefore making 12 months roadside cover £12. Absolute bargain. That was the cheapest I could find it.This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0
