thanks for reply Taff
would the FOS not just reply with they where not over seeing LLoyds at that time? As lloyds have just told me?. I was a bit miffed with lloyds reply because of card dating back to 1996 thought may have been different rules etc.
But some good news I applied for my RBS card ppi back also 7 weeks ago same time as LLoyds and have just had a refund offer from RBS with no hassle what so ever "Result" but was just concerned they may have not offered the full amount ive paid not to sure how they work with refunds if 1st offers are low or are correct to what you've paid in.
Not, just send it to the FOS.
If you had sent a SAR and £10 you would have had a record of what you actually paid and you could check As it is, you'll have to guess whether it's right or not, but if they upheld your complaint, then it's the full amount plus 8% and interest on any time your account would hjave been in credit but for the PPI payments.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Hi all
I registered a complaint with FSA against the miselling of PPI by EGG. I received confirmation of receipt of the complaint on 3 December 2011 but since then the only correspondence I've had is 3 letters within 5 days of each other at the beginning of 2013 telling me that they were employing more people to deal with PPI complaints. I've heard nothing since. Any idea how long it is taking FSA to deal with complaints?
Is it worth me ringing them do you think? I'm just a bit concerned that maybe I should have got something by now but it's gone missing.
Any advice would be welcome.
Many thanks

If you do mean FOS I have found emailing them with your case number very helpful it takes them about a day to get back to you but better than hanging on a phone waiting, but of course if you want a answer quicker ring them.0 -
I submitted an MBNA PPI complaint to the ombudsman about a year ago and received a letter in November 2012 saying they have decided to uphold my complaint. I hadn't heard anything since then so phoned them about a month ago to be told MBNA still don't agree and the Ombudsman are waiting for them to send information to back it up.
Does anyone know if my chances of getting anywhere with this are good or bad and what the next steps are?
Thank you.0 -
There are no next steps, you just wait for the ombudsman to get back to you.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Got my cheque a few days later!! Should be clear Friday and I pick up my new convertible that evening! Yee haa! Thanks for all the advice. Cheers everyone! :beer:0 -
Wife just had a letter from Halifax with an Annual review showing how much PPI paid in the last year.
I didn't even realise/couldn't believe she had it.
She has asked me to sort it out. I've found the 11 page questionnaire and am working my way through it.
Do i just fill it out and send it to the bank? Is the questionnaire accepted as a claim/complaint form?
The PPI is still active, should we cancel it now, prior to sending the completed questionnaire.
Thanks.0 -
Yes it's a complaint form. Fill it in, send it back.
You can cancelit if you like if it's a credit card, not if it's a loan with single premium. If it's a loan with separate premium, you can cancel it but you'll have a hard job claiming that back. If it's a mortgage, probably not.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
