    Hi
I've been lucky and had a letter saying my complaint had been upheld but now I need to work out if the PPI redress is correct. How do I go about this?
The PPI amount was £1040.10 and this loan was taken out in September 2004 over 60 months.
  • Can i claim anything back? Barclaycard cancelled my ppi (AXA) which i've had from when my card was Egg. The balance is quiet large, and to my shame is never paid off, so the payments i've made (over £100 a month for many years) are still accruing interest, and will do for many years. Anyone know where i stand?

If you were mis sold the PPI then put a claim in, if you could afford to repay the card should the worse happen, if you had life or any other type of insurance, a good sick package from work then use these to add to your reasons for mis sell, show you had no use of this product.

If you repaid the loan in full for the 60 months, you get the PPI back and the interest associated with this and the 8%, the 8% is on a decreasing scale for each monthly PPI payment that you made from the loan start date to the date redress.
If you repaid this early, you get the 8% plus the whole PPI with the associated interest they then take off the rebate amount they gave at settlement.
  • Hello
Had a letter back from LLoyds credit card ppi in short saying not entitiled to refund as i've had the card running since 1996 and they where not part of Fsa at that time.
My question is ive still got the card now and have paid ppi on it upto 2009
I tried to claim on my ppi once and was told i could not as i was self employed at that time back in 2004, which i never thought anything about as i had money so i was not too worried about it.
Has anyone any idea of my next option on this ? would it be court etc ? The card has always had a large amount outstanding and ppi payment always over £40pm.

You can forward your complaint to the FOS.

    thanks for reply Taff
would the FOS not just reply with they where not over seeing LLoyds at that time? As lloyds have just told me?. I was a bit miffed with lloyds reply because of card dating back to 1996 thought may have been different rules etc.

But some good news I applied for my RBS card ppi back also 7 weeks ago same time as LLoyds and have just had a refund offer from RBS with no hassle what so ever "Result" but was just concerned they may have not offered the full amount ive paid not to sure how they work with refunds if 1st offers are low or are correct to what you've paid in.
