On the statement they sent you, did it show the opening balance, interest and PPI amount?.
Hi Amersall. I think you were asking me.
The statement shows the opening balance, the interest and the PPI as 0.00.
Its just now that I look back at the interest its a large amount and I was hoping that somehow the PPI had been amalgamated into the interest on the statement.
Just wishful thinking!
Thanks again0 -
Morning I had a loan with cahoot I've managed to find the account number but when I've been in touch they said they have no record of me. Has anyone got any clues of what I can do I was thinking of going to a ppi claims company.
Cheers Gary
Was this loan a long time ago and how did you find the account number?.
steer clear of a claims co, you will still have to get all the info from Cahoot anyway.0 -

If it shows PPI as zero then there was not PPI on there, does it show the monthly payment and the term? if it does see if the monthly payment adds up to the total loan amount and interest, if it does not then PPI is on there, it is unlikely but check anyway.
PPI would not be hidden in the interest, if it is then that is wrong.0 -
My claim took about 18 months to be settled but it was well worth the wait! (I was refunded over £18k) Claims companies take a huge chunk of any money you are entitled to, 20-25%. I thought about using one of these but when I realised how much they take I decided to use the Ombudsman. Remember it is YOUR money, don't give these companies anything, they only do what you can easily do yourself!
And all a claims co does for their hefty % plus Vat is post the form to the bank:D money for old rope

Thank you again amersall. It shows the monthly payments and term and everthing seems to total up. Ah well. Looks like everything is ok with it.0 -
I got it from lloydstsb I used to bank with them when I had the loan I think I payed it off in 2010.
Have you contacted Lloyds? they may be able to find you.Morning I had a loan with cahoot I've managed to find the account number but when I've been in touch they said they have no record of me. Has anyone got any clues of what I can do I was thinking of going to a ppi claims company.
Cahoot is a division of Santander, I don't understand why you contacted Cahoot if you had the loan from Lloyds, unless I am missing something.
