PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

I'm guessing they had to pay me via cheque as they closed down my accounts years back, instead of taking it off the amount I owe?0

Thanks. I just wondered if I had a good chance of succeeding since they contacted me in the first instance, or does this happen regularly?
It does not guarantee a win but as they approached you, at least they are saying they could be at fault and are looking to it, fingers crossed.0 -
Hello
I have recently put a claim in to Lloyds TSB for PPI and CPI on my mum and dad's credit card and loans, both my mum and dad have passed away.
After sending copies of the death certificates Lloyds asked for proof of the executor. My parents did not leave a will, they did not own any properties and I dealt with the sharing of any possessions between my brother and sister. I have advised them that my parents did not leave a will.
Lloyds have now contacted me to say they want a copy of the grant of probate, I did not need to apply for a grant of probate when they passed away therefore I do not have this. Can anyone advise on what I can do next to progress this?
Thank you0 -
Don't bother with a covering letter, just send the questionnaire in, and your current complaint is hearsay, and can't be proved.
Loook instead towards you didn't need it or want it because you could cover your payments with another income, or good sick pay terms. If they were loans that followed on form each other, i.e. consolidation loans where you consolidated the old loan into the new one and took out a higher loan each time, you were probably paying single premium on a consolidated chain of loans.
Thank you, my partners wages were being paid into my bank account at the time could this be used as proof that I had other income to cover? I also remember having a sickness policy and also an accident policy in the past but I can't remember what dates or whom they were with as we cancelled them a couple of years ago (these were paid out of the same bank account via direct debit) would I need proof of these?0 -
Hi,
I took out numerous credit card loans between 2004 to 2008, all were based on 0% interest rates for the first several months. I used put this money in my flexible mortgage and then pay the credit card issuer in full just before the 0% interest period runs out.
Would be able to benefit from PPI miss selling on the above loans?
Many thanks0 -

It would need to be significant extra income or savings to be accepted as evidence that you didn't need the insurance. -taff meant extra income from investments etc, not simply your partner's income.sportmonkey666 wrote: »I also remember having a sickness policy and also an accident policy in the past.......would I need proof of these?
Firstly, the insurance would have to have significant overlap of cover. I see no mention of unemployment?
Secondly, of course you'd need to prove you had such insurance.
Look for other mis-selling reasons...0 -

Do your statements show any PPI? If not, you didn't pay any.0 -

If your wages and their wages went in, then yes you could. If they weren't aware that these were wages, it was just an additional income that could have covered the repayments, then use that as a reason.
Also use single premium on a consolidated chain of loans [if they were consolidated, if not, just single premium].Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
