Evening all, with the help of this board, I successfully recovered £3.5k in mis-sold ppi a couple of years ago. I realise that there are a couple of other claims that I could re-submit. can anyone provide me with the questionnaire and sample letters please as I have mis placed mine.
Many thanks in advance

Rejected on claims for five loans from Lloyds TSB dating from 2001 to present.
My main basis of complaint was that I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and the two largest loans I took I was told that I had to take PPI to be accepted.
In total, it's about 40k worth of debt (mostly now paid off). Guess stories of Lloyds getting tougher are true, especially where the payout would be a significant sum.
Going to send everything to FOS and see what happens.
Stil waiting to hear on my Lloyds TSB Credit Card....won't hold my breath!0 -

Arthritis is not significant enough to make the accident/sickness cover significantly restricted. What evidence do you have to support your allegation that you were told you have to have it?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi I took out a mortgage with Northern Rock back in 1997 through a broker 'Mortgage Matters'. They said I had to take out PPI to get the mortgage, but offered a cashback scheme to reclaim the money at a later date. The total cost of the PPI (and mortgage fees) were added to my new mortgage total. Yes you guessed the cashback was a scam as the firm that it was done through went bust well before it had to pay anything back! Anyway my question is do I complain to Northern Rock or Mortgage Matters (if they still exist). Unfortunately I don't have any of the records from this time.0

As regards having to have the PPI on the two large loans, both were taken in branch following telephone conversations to talk over my applications and arrange a time etc. I arrived to sign the paperwork with the loan agreements presented to me with PPI included and I was told that due to my financial situation (ie no savings at the time), then I needed this to progress the application. The three other rejected loans were phone/internet so I didn't hold out much prospect of success.
In fairness, it was an advisor at my local branch who positively encouraged me to make the claims for mis-sold PPI.0 -

Dont use a third Party I had no problems with YB and even spoke on the phone with their PPI team they were really helpful. :T

You complain to whoever sold you the policy.
However, FOS will have no jurisdiction over a 1997 sale by a broker.0 -

I understand that this will cover all premiums I paid, but, in other people's experience, will this include interest I've missed out on over the years? (What about interest I was charged on the PPI premium themselves)?
I'm not expecting a large payout, but still, the cash is better in my pocket than theirs!

For some investments the FOS my look at the differences between the unsuitable and what a suitable investment would have been and calculate the compensation, but you would have to ask the FOS about that.0 -
I downloaded the form on here and sent it off. Have they got to reply within a certain time or is that only if you state that in your letter? Also I am still paying the ppi ,if i cancel it will it effect my claim?0
