Hi
I am hoping someone can give me some advise on the reply that I received from NRAM.
We had a loan with them going back a few years, I wrote to them using the standard template letter and have received a letter back stating the following:
As the loan account (which was subject to a credit agreement regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974) with us has redeemed, we are not under any obligation to comply with your request pursuant to section 77(1) of the Consumer Credit Act.
Section 77(3) (a) of the Consumer Credit Act provides that Section 77(1) of the Consumer Credit Act does not apply to an agreement where no sum is, will or may become payable.
Can someone please explain what this means !!
Thanks

If this was requesting T&C they do not have to provide these as the account is closed, if you have the account number and reasons for mis sell then put the claim in.
customerrelations@nram.co.uk
You can do this by email.
If you don't have info then send a Sar request, ask for all info they hold on you, give them as much info as you can to help them find you, enclose £10.
Ask for all info they hold on you and not just specific details.

Got a complaint in with Halifax regarding a loan we had with them. Had the letter of acknowledgement within 5 days of sending them my letter and then not heard anymore.... the 8 weeks is up next Monday . If they needed anymore info from us , would they have contacted us by now . Or does that mean they are paying back the PPI we are claiming ? thank you .0

They have 8 weeks but please remember they are very busy at the moment. You know they are looking into your complaint as they have acknowledged.

Hi all,
I made a quick phone call to the Halifax for a PPI claim that was part of a mortgage with the 'Leeds' building society in 1992.
Halifax took them over in the late 90's I think, thought I would chance my arm with a claim, had the paperwork but the mortgage number did not match any reference for the Halifax.
They took details anyway and a few weeks later a cheque for £7600 dropped thro' the letterbox .... a nice surprise for coming back from holiday so it's worth claiming even if it was years ago!0 -
Has anyone any advice on this please?? Thanks0
