sorry rocketman, did you say if it was a loan or credit card as a loan pre 2007 would show the ppi as one payment rolled in with the loan but credit cards (if you have any statements) will show ppi separately.0 -

I have a current credit card and two prior loans with HSBC, I took out the credit card in 1998 and the first loan in 1999 and they both included PPI. During th mid nineties I had suffered with mental health issues. When I applied for the above I was not asked about any medical conditions or told about the medical exclusions.
Also in 2002 I consolidated my 1999 loan into a new one, this also included PPI. At this time I had been become self employed and had taken out an essential ability policy with HSBC.
Do I have grounds to make a complaint??:o
I would say so.:):):):):):):):):):):):):)0 -

Hi what happens if your bank rejects your claim, what happens next?0

I have been paying off a loan since 2003, then in 2006 had to take a big loan out because of being in debt and I had ppi added to this loan. I have just found out that Natwest banned selling ppi with loans in 2009 anymore. Does this mean my PPI Policy is not active anymore?0

The card protection is to protect the card but is a form of insurance, if you were mis sold this then put a claim in.
Credit card redress is different to a loan, if you win, they reset the card to zero and then calculate the PPI you paid with the interest, any month that gives you a credit balance, does not pay the 8%.0 -

would this card protection charge be a different claim than ppi as i already have a ppi claim with barclays but should i open a new case for miss-sold card protection aswell ? thanks for your advice so far amerall!!0 -
