PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

Good morning,
I currently have a Barclaycard credit card which I took out some 20 years ago, and because of this length of time, not having old statements etc. I am not sure if i paid ppi on this, but I seem to recall being told that is was necessary in order to take out the card.
I therefore contacted Barclaycard the other day who informed me there is no ppi on this account, but i was wondering if i should contact them again to ask for any paperwork which supports this, or could they just be spinning me a line to get out of paying up ??
Hi Holly, push them for proof you did'nt have ppi if you think you had it, all that time ago banks pushed ppi hard, as too being told you did'nt have it, take that with a pinch of salt, it might be true but it probably isn't, i have been told by countless banks that i did'nt have ppi, i've since reclaimed on half of them.0 -

Thanks Cappo, I'll go back to them and ask for something concrete. Will let you know if i get anywhere0 -
Hi everyone,
Wondered if anyone could advise?
I took out a car loan with Black Horse (Lloyds) in 2004. I was advised that I had to take out PPI or I wouldn't qualify for the loan. I put a complaint into Lloyds on this basis (I have successfully reclaimed on another, newer Lloyds loan on this basis) who have replied with this statement:
'I have investigated this further for you and can confirm that this policy would have been sold by Cardiff Pinnacle Insurance. Therefore your PPI Complaint would need to be sent to Cardiff Pinnacle Insurance.
Blackhorse did not commence the selling of these policies until 14th January 2005.'
My paperwork for this PPI is from Pinnacle Insurance. However, because the PPI was sold to me by a Lloyds employee when I was arranging my loan, should it not in fact be Lloyds looking at this complaint? Should I now approach Pinnacle insurance (who I imagine with direct me back to Lloyds) or should I continue to badger Lloyds?
Any advice greatly appreciated!

You should get a confirmation in writing within a couple of weeks although they are probably taking longer now.0 -
Hi, hoping someone can advise me...
The 40 days were up today for 3 Sar applications and I've had nothing from any of them! Would you wait a little longer or, if not, what should I be doing?
Many thanks0 -
Hello all,
Can anyone help?
I've gone through all the official procedures for claiming PPI on ex credit cards. I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to to back payments, but I last used the cards more than 6 years ago and have no record of their numbers. I cannot use "Credit card reference files" due to the 6 year threshold, and the banks are "coming out with the old cherry" that they cannot continue the claim without a reference number.
Many thanks for any forth coming comments.
Regards

I have had txts & calls from a PPi reclaim company saying I can claim £3600 but I'm not aware of having PPI. How can I find out?
With a credit card the insurance is on every monthly statement, with a loan it is in the agreement, if you have loans and credit cards see if you can find the agreements or statements for these, if you cannot then contact banks who you have/ had credit with and ask.
A claims co will tell you anything to get you to go with them and make a claim so they can take a hefty % plus Vat of any win.
they don't know if you have PPI or the amounts that you are owed.
If you find that you had PPI and were mis sold, post back here and we will help you with the reclaim FOR FREE!!.
Report this company to the MOJ as they know nothing about the PPI amount that you could possibly claim back and this could mean that they will do a claim for the sake of it regardless of if you had any PPI at all.

Give them a few more days, it is possible it is in the process of being sent, did you confirm that they received the requests? it may be worth asking them.0
