If this was not a final response, the write back to Egg before you take this to FOS.
They cannot say that they "provided full terms and conditions of the policy and requested i read them before submitting" so use this reason, also, show that you could have paid the card back should the worst happen and you had no need of this PPI.

    hi amersall
    thanks for the reply.
the letter from egg states it's thier final response.
i later in the year went through unemployment ( as per my claim with mbna in which you replied on this forum with help approx 10/06/12 thanks!)

was part populated ticked ppi boxes happening in 2003 ??? (hoping you may have an insight to this!!!)

does the fact i had ppi with mbna at the same time have a bearing?

is it enough for the lender to say that they advised we read the t & c's and therefore bat the blame back to us?

    thanks in advance

So it was set up correctly.
Looks like any complaint to the Ombudsman will side with your lender, as your reasons were weak hearsay. However, expect nothing and anything you do get will be a bonus.
Expect a wait of a year or more for FOS to adjudicate.

Two weeks after sending a letter to Santander result - letter offering me full amount plus 8% interest!

Lloyds - TSB despite my sending copies of my loan agreement, their first letter stated they had no record of me! How sad are they!! After phoning them they suddenly found my records, however, I had to start a new complaint! No problem this I did that very day!

My husband's claim also with Lloyds, they sent him a letter saying they were enclosing a form for him to complete - guess what no form enclosed. A telephone call to them and we were told no need to complete a form they were dealing with it ! Yeah right - why then I asked did in state in their letter a form was enclosed? No actual answer to this, so we actually asked that a form be sent - talk about dragging it out! They are a disgrace!!

Nationwide - will see what happens having completed the necessary forms and also await a copy of all my charges having sent them the £10 which has been banked!

    Hi,

I have recieved all the paperwork from Nationwide after I sent them the SAR request.

It looks as though 2 of my loans had PPI, 2 of them didn't and my credit card definately did.

Do I need to send 2 seperate letters for the Credit Card and Loans?

Please could someone also post a link to the template letter as I'm struggling to find it...

    Thanks

You need to send a completed Ombudsman Questionnaire for EACH loan and credit card. Be sure to also send a cover letter, especially if your loans were part of a consolidation chain and you wish them to be considered together.

    Hi All
I took a loan out with Abbey National in 2002.
On my loan agreement it says monthly instalment £216. monthly ppi premium £61. Total monthly payment £277. Is this still classed as front loaded ?

If both were paid as a single monthly premium then it was front loaded.
Do be aware that comprehensive proof of payment (statements from your own archive) is likely to be required on a loan this old.
