Maybe you had more than 1 loan with them. Is this possible?
I re-financed (consolidated) Remember none of the loans went to full term and the final one was paid off early. So would they look at each one individually? there where no breaks between the loans from 2005 to 2010. Or would they treat this as one continuous loan in respect of PPI when assessing my complaint?. I had PPI on all loans from the start. Many thanks littlepip.
P.S all PPI was front loaded which was the main reason for claim.0 -

Please help,
I received a responce today from MBNA credit card services stating that I cancelled the PPI policy prior to the card being used and therefore no insurance was ever applied to the account. I clearly remember on one occassion the minimum payment being £40 due to a charge of £20 for ppi being added to the monthly statement. My minimum payment had literally doubled and that's why I chose to cancel the policy. Where do I go from here. Do I SAR them, write back and request the documentation they have based their decision on or go straight for FOS.
Thank you in advance for any advice

I just got a reply from lloydstsb about the PPI claims I put in about 8 weeks ago and they say they are sorry for the delay but they are very busy and it may be up to another 8 weeks before they can look into my claim.
Is this normal and is there anything I can do??:(0 -

Hi
Yes that is standard, as they are still going through backlogs, fingers crossed on the reclaiming, please let us know how you get on once you hear.;)
I personally think now you have received that letter, you will hear now within a week or 2 at most, with a bit of luck that will apply to you. Fingers crossed. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Lou
Yes a SAR is an option, or you could ask them to send you details of when you cancelled the policy, they may do this free of charge - before you decide on the SAR direction.
If you have anything in writing to prove, you can then send to them in evidence.
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
Due to high volumes of backlogs, this does happen with Lloyds, although they have stated that it may take an additional 8 weeks, I'm sure you will hear a result before then, good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
