I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone on the PPI thread - if it wasn't for all of your advice I would never have had an offer from MBNA for £1408 (arrived on Tuesday)!!!!! This I have been told will be with me within 28 days. I also have a claim in with HSBC (after submitted a SAR to them for info), I haven't heard anything back, and anticipate that they may be more difficult than MBNA. However, my advice is keep at them, use all the templates on offer from this forum - DO NOT GIVE UP.
Thank you!:T0 -
(NatWest Mortgage, NatWest Home Insurance and NatWest Life) which were occurring monthly and I am wondering if you guys can help me understand if one of them is related to a PPI.0

We had a credit card that was originally from egg but wassold to Barclay card.
Who would I make a claim against is it egg or Barclaycard orboth.
Also if it was egg where would I Wright to get details itwas an online account but when you log on the details are no longer there.
Was egg one of the companies fined for miss selling? Doesthis mean the payment will not be contested?
Also I have a Lombard card I have written to them and askedfor details of my agreement using the template letter which has just beenignored what is my next step would be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated new to this:)
With the Lombard one you need to contact them and ask if they received your request, if the loan is closed you need to ask for all info they hold on you and the cost of this is £10 as the £1 payment does not apply to closed accounts and they do not have to comply with this request.0 -

I've had various loans over the years and some dating back to the late 90's, but I have no idea or can't remember if I had PPI's or not - and I have no paper work from them.
Is it best to call the lenders directly and they can tell me and are they likely to be honest?
Thanks for any advice/help offered
Regards
If they are really old then you will have virtually no chance of getting any info from these, give the lenders a ring and see what they say.0 -
got a phone call from lloyds tsb to advise i was getting almost £1300 back re my ppi claim on a credit card with them...over the moon...
im still waiting for halifax credit card ppi claim to come back to me.0 -
Just want to say a huge thankyou to the members here who are giving their time freely to help others. I won't name you as you know who you are and I may miss someone out. :T
I've sent two claims to A&L today, though not expecting much as PPI was less than a tenner per month, life insurance only I expect as was self employed. I've based my claims on single premium as advised. Anything's welcome when surviving on pension credit.:(0 -
Hi All
Can anyone check my maths?
Paying £10 per month PPI on a credit card @ 20.1% APR over 12 years.
Would I be potentially owed £6200?
Thanks for any advice?

i took out a claim in sept/oct 2011 with a company called lifestyle money. they said it would take 3 working months in order to complete. i spoke to them a week before the alloted time was up and they told it would be sorted on time.
since then i have heard nothing from them, even though i paid them to look into this. proberly not the best thing to do looking back.
i have tried calling them and emailing but no one ever gets back to me.
Some advice please0 -

Hi all newbie here
I wonder if any of you good people could help with aquestion I
have.
I wrote to the bank using the template letter in Step 2.
I received a letter of response, an unsigned copy of thereconstituted version of the executed agreement, the terms and conditions and asigned statement of the account. (They were unable to find the original signedagreement, but are trying to locate it!)
The statement of account, as at the date of their letter says ‘if it is more, the total of interest and the payment protection coverpremium shown in your statement’. The reconstituted version of the executedCredit Agreement states... if you have payment protection insurance, thepremium will be debited to your account each month. The amount of the premium willbe determined by reference to the debit balance of your account. You will benotified of any change in Premium rate.
Therefore, does paying a monthly premium for Payment Protection Covermean we are paying for Payment Protection Insurance? If so, why is there is noPayment Protection Insurance Policy, or an agreement for the Payment ProtectionCover we are paying? I thought the template letter asking for a copy of theterms and Conditions applicable to the account would have included them too. Howdo I get this information which, for some reason, they have not sent, andwithout which I am unable to proceed with a reclaim?
Many thanks
