  • *fingers crossed* *Fingers crossed* - OH spoke to Egg today and apparently our cheque was posted 4pm on 26th June! Hopefully it will be waiting for us when we get home....I won't hold my breath though!
  • Hi,
I have been reading through the Ts&Cs as directed in the main website, but I can see no explicit references to my having a PPI policy associated with the many credit cards and loans myself and my partner have had in the recent past. Does this mean that I cannot claim? Is it possible that the PPI is implied and not referenced in the paperwork?
    Thank you.

    Hi Lou

Yes a SAR is an option, or you could ask them to send you details of when you cancelled the policy, they may do this free of charge - before you decide on the SAR direction.
If you have anything in writing to prove, you can then send to them in evidence.

    Good luck with this.;)

Thank you, I think a SAR is my best option. I have found this company in particular very hard work. At least a SAR should give me all the information they hold on me. I'm starting to think, did they initially ignore my cancellation request and continued to charge me. But are now using my original cancellation request to their advantage. Thanks again much appreciated. :o

    Hi All

    Can anyone check my maths?

Paying £10 per month PPI on a credit card @ 20.1% APR over 12 years.

Would I be potentially owed £6200?

    Thanks for any advice?

    Miaspa

If you have proof of the PPI paid from the start date to the date you win redress then you will get all back that you have paid, the banks only go back 6 years without proof of all PPI paid.

    Hi everyone,

My husband and I currently have 6 PPI form claims in with various companies, we have had two letters back from Alliance & Leicester and RBS saying they have recieved our complaints and we will have a decision within the 8 weeks - has anyone had good success with either of these companies? we also have two claims in with Vanquis - however my optimism is rather low on them as this is for ROP and Interest charges not PPI. Has anyone had success from ROP claims?

Mnay thanks for any help :)

i took out a claim in sept/oct 2011 with a company called lifestyle money. they said it would take 3 working months in order to complete. i spoke to them a week before the alloted time was up and they told it would be sorted on time.

since then i have heard nothing from them, even though i paid them to look into this. proberly not the best thing to do looking back.

i have tried calling them and emailing but no one ever gets back to me.

    Some advice please :)
Give the MOJ a call and report these, tell them you paid upfront and they will not acknowledge you.
    Name and shame the company.

Send an email to the company to let them know you have reported them to the MOJ and request your money back.
If you paid the fee with your card then contact the card company and explain what you are doing and that you want the fee charged back to the card.

Therefore, does paying a monthly premium for Payment Protection Covermean we are paying for Payment Protection Insurance? If so, why is there is noPayment Protection Insurance Policy, or an agreement for the Payment ProtectionCover we are paying? I thought the template letter asking for a copy of theterms and Conditions applicable to the account would have included them too. Howdo I get this information which, for some reason, they have not sent, andwithout which I am unable to proceed with a reclaim?
You did not need a copy of the agreement as PPI could have been activated at a later date, you need statements to show PPI being paid, this will show on all statements, all you need to make a claim is the card number and the reasons you have for mis sell.

Hi Got back a acknowledgement letter/s today from RBS in response to my letter of complaint re: PPI. In total they sent three standard letters within the same envelope all saying the same thing, but each one has a different reference number on them. Anyone know why they have sent me three?
There are 3 loans and they will be looking at these, it is possible that they were consolidated with each other.

We received an offer from Santander consisting of £845.48 refund plus £832.30 interest.
After further enquiries from us they sent us a breakdown showing all the monthly premiums (totalling £845.48) and the interest calc s/sheet.
    This is where I'm stuck - I can't work out how the interest has been calculated;
    May 98 Premium £34.32 interest offered £0.23
They say that the interest rate of 15% applies from May 98 - Mar 93 and this reduces to 8% from Apr 93 to date.
No matter what formula I try I can't get back to the first calc. of £0.23.

I'm hoping your interest expert might be able to throw some light on this.

I called Hitachi first to check if i had PPI and they confirmed i did so thats when i went ahead with the claim and thats when they said they had cancelled the PPI agreement but nothing to say about reimbursing me for what i have already paid.
With Toyota the PPI is paid every month along with the repayment for the loan.
The Toyota is Single Premium PPI and this is the reason for mis sell that you use, this was a loan on the loan paid to term end with interest, if you cancelled the PPI they would have given you a pro rata rebate of the PPI and the remaining PPI is still on the loan to term end.

If you settled this loan early then, as above, you would have a pro rata rebate and you would have paid back the remaining PPI in with the settlement figure.
Write back to Toyota and ask them to look at this again.

Complain again to Hitachi, give the reasons that you were mis sold and see what they come back with, the Single Premium reason cannot be used with this claim unless you paid the PPI in with the loan monthly payment.
