If you were mis sold they will pay up, are you in contact with the bank to see what stage these claims are at? the joint loan is no more complicated than a single one, chase this up and get them to move.0 -
I posted a few months ago and asked advice on whether 18 weeks to wait for a final response letter from Lloyds re PPI reclaiming on an old credit card was normal.
Well 24 weeks after my original claim and numerous phone calls later I have finally received today a response offering me a payment of £127.39 to bring my complaint to an end.
The letter states that this represents a refund of all the PPI premiums paid (inclusive of interest) . My problem is that I sent all my statements to them which clearly show that I paid approximately £1500.00 in premiums over the years.
It also says that my card account status is cleared and has closed and that the PPI was cancelled. This is true so where have they got this figure from.
The calculation says
Difference between the actual and revised balance £76.13
Credit Interest at 8% per annum simple 27th June 2012 £51.26
Has anyone else had a letter like this with a ridiculous offer. Can anyone help with this calculation as I dont understand what they mean re actual and revised balance as the account was closed a few years ago.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
They should have paid the PPI from the statements you gave them, you did send copies of these?.
Write back to them and ask them to redress the statements you gave, if you can get hold of them by phone, then do that.0 -

I've received a letter from black horse saying they owe us £9000 due to the way they sold us PPI back in 2005, please sign and return the attached form and we will send you a cheque.
I have to take their word for it as although I remember having the loan, all paperwork would have long been shredded. Is the "offer" likely to be the correct amount I am owed or does "offer" mean it's up for negotiation? Thanks0 -
I am wondering if anyone can help regarding credit card claims ,i have sent the questionnaire off and received a reply asking for an account number. Its from Barclaycard on an old Egg Card ,i only have the credit card number how do i obtain account number as i can not find this on statements i have.
Thank you in advance for any advice0 -
I got a reply from Mint today, they are not playing ball at all.Thank you for your letter dated 8/5/12, which was recieved into this office on 10/5/12.
Your request for documents contains some misconceptions about your entitlement to information in a specific form and our obligations to supply that information.
As you are aware this account has been fully repaid, and therefore, there is no active agreement between Mint Credit Cards and you with regards to the above account.
The Consumer Credit Act is for active agreements and therefore we are under no obligation to provide you with the requested documents as your obligations to us under the agreement have ended.
I trust this clarifies matters for you.
What's my next move? I'm not even sure if there was PPI on it.0 -
Hi, after many months of promising myself to look into this I've stumbled at the first hurdle.
The independent mortgage advisor who sold me my policy is no longer in business.
Where do I now direct my request for a claim?
Any help/advice gratefully received.0 -
Hi Everyone....
I have been at this for a few months now and have no final outcomes. It appears that all the Banks like to take the full 8 weeks or more, but i am patient so its okay.
Anyhow I today received 2 responses from Capital One and MBNA after sending SAR agreements. They costs a tenner but well worth the information they supply i have to say.
Both cards had PPI on and I have paid £25 charges for late payments so have a few complaints going in this weekend but I have one query, can anyone help with it.
One the MBNA statements I have found 3 charges each month suddenly appear for "Finance Charge" all charged on the same day and it equated to around £160 per calender month. Does anyone have any idea what this means as i intend to question it for sure.

Hello!
Been trying to read as much as I can on this board (great stuff!)
can someone please confirm I have got this right in my head?
My T&C's on my loan shows the following,
Loan repayment
£69.00 per month
Insurance repayment
£9.95 per month
Total Monthly payments x 24
£78.95
This is the Direct debit figure I paid each month. £69.00 + £9.95 = £78.95
Is this what you would describe as a front loaded Single Premium Insurance?
Thanks
