They know more about MPPI and they can give you the address if the company still exists.0 -
Well guess what - they only scanned 1 statement out of the 36 I sent to them so the refund is just for 1 month. Have now been told to resend them and they will look at again so looks like another 24 week wait. Whilst on the phone I asked about another claim that I had made and what a surprise they had only scanned 2 of the 20 statements I had sent and still have not had a final response for this one but been waiting 18 weeks. So again when I receive a reply they will only be looking at 2 months statements.
To everyone - if you have sent any paperwork to Lloyds please phone them to make sure they have scanned everything on to their system as in my case I am claiming back to 2002 and the only evidence they have to do a refund is my statements. I have waited 6 months for a refund and all this time they only had 1 statement scanned in. Human error here means that I now have another long wait and would hate to think anyone else has to go through this if it can be avoided.0 -
so have decided to look into an old loan that I had with halifax (began in 1997 finished i think in 2000/2001) plus a store card for dorothy perkins ( balance is £0). I also have 2 cc still open with virgin and capital one (nothing on them )
after going through my paperwork i cant seem to find any paperork on any of them ! very annoying !
so what should i do for my first steps ?
as the 2 cc are still open i presume i can contact them directly asking if ppi was on ?
what abt the halifax loan and dorothy perkins card , im pretty sure i had it on the store card !
help please as sick of being taken a ride of with my money !!0 -
Called them up and said this was rubbish as gave more reasons than this including that it was front loaded (potential dealbreaker?) and can they have another looked.
Checked with the manager and told to get lost and to go to ombudsman if I wanted.I sent the credit card appeal to the ombudsman 4 weeks ago and not heard a bean - is this usually the case?Curse Lloyds and maybe I am overthinking it but if I had not been lazy and sent in the forms instead may have had a better result...0 -

Contact all of them and see if they can find you, the cards should be easy as you have the card numbers, the loan may be tricky due to the year, if they cannot find you a Sar may help, but due to the year it may not as data can be destroyed after 6 years, contact them and ask first and we will take it from there.0 -

Does anyone have a contact email for HFC please? Ive been emailing HSBC and they said they have forwarded my emails but think they are getting annoyed about it.

I've received a letter from black horse saying they owe us £9000 due to the way they sold us PPI back in 2005, please sign and return the attached form and we will send you a cheque.
I have to take their word for it as although I remember having the loan, all paperwork would have long been shredded. Is the "offer" likely to be the correct amount I am owed or does "offer" mean it's up for negotiation? Thanks
They should send you a breakdown of how they got to this figure, they must have had something to work to and arrive at the figure they are giving you, give them a ring and ask how they got to the figure, if they sold you the loan in 05 they should have the agreement to work to, if this is the case they will have given you full redress.
Nice win though :j:j0 -

do i send them all a letter in which case which one or the cc that are still open can i just call them and ask if ppi is or has ever been on them ?0 -
hello all
i have 2 ppi claims that have been rejected but one at a time!
mbna-
from year 2000 have sent their final response stating it was a "non advised" sale. they sent a copy of the application form where it seems the box has been ticked(do not remember doing this!)
i have now referred to financial ombudsman to deal but wanted to check in with mse experts before i fill out their form as my case lives and dies by what i put on their form.
this account took me years to pay off(2007) as i became unemployed(have proof dss letters) in 2003 and went to college to study(also have proof of this).
please help!0 -

If you did not work or only worked a few hours when you went to college the PPI would not have covered you anyway so stipulate this, also put that although the box was ticked for PPI, why would you not have used this insurance when you needed to, also put the reasons for mis sell that you put into the card company, if you had other means to pay this card back should the worst happen then put that, show that you did not need this PPI.0
