Posted 7 payment protection quetionnaires to Blackhorse today just wondering how long do they have to make a desicion0

I posted a few months ago and asked advice on whether 18 weeks to wait for a final response letter from Lloyds re PPI reclaiming on an old credit card was normal.
Well 24 weeks after my original claim and numerous phone calls later I have finally received today a response offering me a payment of £127.39 to bring my complaint to an end.
The letter states that this represents a refund of all the PPI premiums paid (inclusive of interest) . My problem is that I sent all my statements to them which clearly show that I paid approximately £1500.00 in premiums over the years.
It also says that my card account status is cleared and has closed and that the PPI was cancelled. This is true so where have they got this figure from.
The calculation says
Difference between the actual and revised balance £76.13
Credit Interest at 8% per annum simple 27th June 2012 £51.26
Has anyone else had a letter like this with a ridiculous offer. Can anyone help with this calculation as I dont understand what they mean re actual and revised balance as the account was closed a few years ago.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.0 -

I sent the standard letter with the £1.00 fee to get a copy of a loan agreement that expired in 2008 and I have received the following letter;
Thank you for your letter regarding the above credit agreement.
Section 78 only applies during the lifetime of the agreement. As the above numbered account has been closed, there is no longer a regulated agreement between ourselves.
In view of the above, we are unable to provide you with documentation as requested.
I trust this clarifies the situation.
HALIFAX
I can't remember if the loan I took out included PPI as I can't find the paperwork.
Can anyone advise what the next step is?

Got the loan from GE money via comet but after calling around they all point me in the direction of santander so ive downloaded their questionaire and will send that off, wish me luck.
The loan with comet should have the complaint made to them as they sold you the loan and PPI, Santander only gave the money.
Good luck with these and let us know how you get on.0 -

We gave cap one a call who have sent us out the form which states my husband signed up to it.
He wasn't sure what he was signing up for and also next to the boxes were crosses so he assumed that he needed to sign them,
Also on this form it doesn't state what this ppi is for.
Can anyone advise please?
Many thanks
If you have reasons for mis sell and the card number then make the complaint, your best defence here is to show that you had no need for this PPI so why would you take it.
If your Husband had a decent sick pay scheme, life insurance, long standing service with employer so he would have received a generous redundancy package or other means to pay this card back should the worst happen, just show that there was no need to have taken this PPI as there was cover elsewhere.0 -

Give the bank a ring and ask if they have received this, if they have not then do the claim again.0
