I no longer have any documents myself, having stupidly disposed of them when the loan finished.
If you had PPI and were mis sold and can find the account number, then put the claim into Santander and let them know that this was with A&L.0 -

£6,391.24 paid in today, in 4 installments for PPI refunds.
No offer letters. No acceptance letters sent.
I queried 5 loans so perhaps more to come? I know the last loan PPI with added interest came to about £9K and that looks untouched so I await an outcome on that ...
But right now ... Cheers
Update
Just had a further offer by letter for another £10,295.45
plus my existing loan repayments considerably reduced
Where's the opening the bubbly smiley?

When it says on the offer letter;
"My investigations into your complaint has identified other loans where you had purchased PPI, that were paid off (refinanced) before the end of their term by a subsequent loan"
Am I being told there is more I can claim for? my first claimed for loan was dated 2003 and I am pretty sure I had other loans before that, that probably involved PPI.0 -
Hi All,
I have just been through all my paper work and it seems I have been paying PPI on an Evans Store card for about 6 years. Looking back I do remember taking the card out at the till and the assistant telling me about how great PPI was and what would I do if I lost my job/was on long term sick, and this is so cheap per £100 etc etc anyway I said yes, lots of people in the queue behind me and I was a naive 20 year old. I have held off claiming as I said yes to it. But having looked at the PPI Claim questionaire it asks if you were shown a leaflet - NO, talked through the terms - NO, asked if I had any means to pay the balance if I wasn't at working - NO (& looking back I get 6months full pay dropping down to half pay for another 6 months and I get redundancy pay) so I really never needed this at all!
Do I have a claim do you think? It was my first ever credit and to be honest I had no idea what I was doing!!
Also, looking at the questionaire that I am filling out, it's asking about the PPI policy number. I have looked at my Evans card statement and all it has on there is my evans account number. Will I still be able to claim without this policy number?
One last thing!! I got married last year and this is still in my maiden name. Is that going to make things far more complicated? I did wonder about changing it and then claiming?
Thanks in advance!!0 -

hi all, i have just reclaimed £13,233 pounds back for my mother and £15,401 pounds back for my father on loans they had with TSB, these loans had been refinanced so TSB paid back any money owed since august 2001. my quetions if anybody can help are: my mother and father have been retired for three years so do they still have to pay tax on the 8% interest paid back? also there is is an excess balance and interest payment paid back with the settlement so do they have to pay tax back on that also? many thanks to anyone who can give me advice on these matters as i just want to be armed with information when i go to the tax office with them and not be.0

Can anyone tell me how back you can go in order to a possibility of putting in a claim?0

hi stepha4,yes put in a claim. you say they were meant to give you an information leaflet if they did not- mis-sold PPI.you were not talked through the terms so you were not able to make an informed choice if you wanted that PPI so mis-sold. The fact that you got 6 months full pay then half pay meant that if you were sick you could still pay the monthly charges,if they did not ask you this history about your employment and ability to pay then mis-sold PPI. As long as you have the account no on the statements you receive it is THEIR duty to follow up any complaint you make and find your PPI policy no.The fact you are now married makes no difference, your name may have changed legally through marriage but you also legally keep your maiden name always. e.g birth certificate, births and deaths register. claim claim claim and any problems write back to them telling them you will refer the case to the ombudsman.still problems refer it to the ombudsman he has voted in favour of more than 90% of the cases.good luck.0

6 years unless that loan had been refinanced from an earlier one then you can claim further back eg if you took out the loan say 2004 (8 years ago) but then refinanced it in 2006 you could claim back to 2004.If not 6 years.0
