Sorry to be a pain :o as I am doing this for family members and I dont want to mess up, In the questionaire to claim how is it best to put this across , the three loans she has are all then front loaded. She also said she felt pressured into signing for the ppi could this be a problem because she did sign?
I'm very gratful to everyone who spend so much of their time helping others on this site I cant beleive how many people have claimed because of you all .Well done.:)

Hi, the front loaded is good enough, "pressurised into it" is hearsay as you have no proof that pressure was applied.
It does not matter if it was signed, the front loaded way was not explained in full as if it had been this PPI may not have been taken.
Look here for other reasons that may apply and use any of those to add to the complaint.

  • Hey there, I wondered if anybody could help me. I have just read through my husbands hsbc credit card statement. It says he is being charged 79p for every £100 balance insurance premium. He hasn't got a clue what this is or what it's for. I have a suspicion it could be ppi. What do you think? Thanks in advance x

Hi, I'm a bit lost with this whole ppi reclaiming. Basically I have a credit card and didn't realise i had ppi (i know it's in black and white on the statement but never really pay any attention to it). I have written to my bank (lloyds) and they have sent me a copy of my agreement. The problem is it isn't the actual agreement I signed so I don't know if the boxes were pre-ticked or not. They defo did mis sell it but I want a copy of my actual agreement. They say they are looking for a copy of this but I doubt they will 'find it'. It was taken out years ago 2005/2006. Thanks in advance

    It's PPI.

Go to the link above and if you have valid reasons, then complain by following the simple steps.

You could be in for rough ride with your account suspended if you still have your credit card. This is because the Bank will suspect that you want to default on paying if they can't produce the actual agreement.
Better to just put the complaint in if you have reasons:

MY husband has been told that despite not applying for PPI on his credit card application it was charged to his credit card but they wont refund it because he had chances every month when receiving his monthly statement to cancel it. What can he do now as the accout is closed and the debt is being paid off to collection agency on a monthly basis. Thank you

    Hi
Can i use a SAR letter to reclaim both PPI from my credit card and any bank debit card charges using the same SAR letter? Effectively only paying £10 once??

    Both accounts with HSBC.
My Credit card is now closed but i still use my debit card, will they close this as well if i reclaim?

Or is it easier to use a claim company?

I believe you can use the same letter for your SAR. They shouldn't close your debit card if you clai you were mis-sold PPI. It would open a whole lot of problems for them if they did this and the only reason was they mis-sold you PPI. (I claimed back bank charges from my bank and still have my account)

No, it is not easier to use a claim company, you basically pay them a fee while you do all the work!

You can find all the help and templates on here to successfully submit your own claim, Good Luck!

  • I had two loans from Lloyds in the past one which I paid off and one which was currently still active.

I was concerned I might get rejected after putting a claim in as I thought it would take a long time to fill out the paperwork and get something back.

But the forms Martin has on his site were great I filled out two separate claims but posted them at the same time.

Within 5 days I received a letter saying that they will be looking at my case and will be in touch within 8 weeks.

Time passed and I forgot about it but in the 7th week I received a letter stating that they were going to refund a total of £8700 for one of the loans I had paid off and the money was in the bank the same day I got the letter. That was only because I still have a Lloyds TSB account.

Then a couple of days later I got another letter stating I would get £2600 back for the loan I have currently which is great. This took longer to come through because it was active and they have to re adjust the monthly amounts and interest etc and then I too got the amount paid into the account. For this one the interest was paid into my account straight away then the rebate afterwards.

So in total I received £11300 which I wouldn’t have received back if I hadn’t have claimed.

I claimed as the cover did not cover me at the time as the first loan was after I just graduated and was in my first job and the sales woman said if I don’t have savings to cover the loan I would be in difficulties as it was a large loan and she would not be confident in loaning the money to me if I did not take the insurance.

The second loan was taken out when I had just started a new job and was only there for one month and she said that I would be covered even though your not covered unless you have been in over 6 months of employment.

Over all I am pleased that it has been resolved now and got back what I am owed.
