  • Hi Everyone,

First time I have posted on here so hopefully someone can help. I have had a loan with Natwest since feb 2008 which finishes in 3 years. I remember the gent who sat me down and went through everything including the ppi section. From the off go I did not want ppi, I have very good benefits through my job including injuries on duty protection, full sick pay and death cover. Also if I get injured where I can't perform my duties then I get a full pension and salary etc etc. Due to this I saw no benefits in ppi so I flatly refused to take it. That was over four years ago and my partner has been saying for ages that I should check my loan, I said don't be silly, I remember completely refusing the ppi so there was no way that I would have it. Long story short I checked last week to be mortified to find out that I have been paying for ppi for the whole term of the loan, I couldn't believe it. I have since put a complaint in direct with Natwest(RBS) and got an acknowledgment letter today 30/4/12.

I just wanted to know how they could of still added ppi to my loan? And also does this count as a mis-sell and would i be entitled to claim the money back? Up until last week I was convinced that I didn't have it so I was gutted lol.

Many thanks in advance for any replies :-)

This is increasingly the case due to data protection legislation.

If it does produce the account number, it still won't guarantee a win of course.

I still don't know why they were unable to locate you from the details you provided. Are you certain the SAR went to a Bank you have held an account with?;)

Only if you can remember which garage it was!;)

I'm kidding; you would send it to the organisation who did the (miss) selling in the first place, not the lender.
