  • I'd wait until confirmation is received, because you'll then have a complaint reference number to put with any photocopied documentation you subsequently send to them.
Do you think it'll strengthen your case much? It might not be worth bothering to send it all if the existing supporting evidence is sufficient.

    Thanks for your reply,

I thought you would say to wait.

This is another seperate loan that seems to be running alongside another. I hadn't even realised we had it. Maybe they will know there end!

It's front loaded the same as the others.

That's different if it's not merely support paperwork for your existing complaint!
They may consider this loan along with the others, but then again they may not.
Fill in another Ombudsman Questionnaire and despatch it immediately!

    Thanks so much Moneyineptitude,
    Will do:)
The reason I asked is it's a chain of loans and all the other evidence has been sent already, only found this one at the week end.

Hi, I'm hoping all you knowledgeable money savers can assist me further in my quest for reclaiming ppi.

I've just phoned up EGG who i had loans with and they have told me the dates and amount of loans/ppi i paid. These dates are from 2003-2008.

The customer care specialist said he can put in a complaint with respect to claiming back the ppi. He only asked that i give him valid reasons to WHY I BELIEVE i am owed the ppi.

So this leads me to my questions...
    1. Is there a textbook reason to why i think i'm owed my ppi.
    2. Am i going the right way about things. Egg seem overly helpful which is surprising to me... which makes my suspicious mind feel that i must be going about it the wrong way.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance on this matter.

    regards

    andy

Ahh, that's similar to my own complaint. A consolidation chain will be considered as one complaint, usually.
Revised advice is for you to fill out a questionnaire for the loan, but wait until their acknowledgement letter for reasons I outlined earlier.

so to think i'd be stupid enough to take ppi aswell is quite embarrassing really.
I think this "embarrassment" is shared by most of the people on this board.
Just be grateful that a method of redress has been made available to us all.;)

    Hi Coyley,

I don't think any of us are stupid, we were mis-led;)
Where is the embarassment in that:):)

    completely agree.
What i was meaning is that I was stupid, because i'm already covered with "illness/death" with being in the RN... so for me to take out such a cover doesn't make sense... i was obviously mis-sold and will detail as much when i send off the "ppi consumer questionaire"

not expecting owt to be honest... but no harm in trying i guess
