Thanks michelle
How long is a piece of string?? :rotfl::rotfl: seriously, give them the time they need.0 -
I took out many buy now, pay later deals with PC World/Currys. Would these of had PPI attached to them if I hadn't paid up early?
I worked out the monthly payments x the months, and I get different amounts to the figures quoted in the letter?Awaiting first win!!0 -
If you have sent proof to Lloyds I would wait a awhile, people have won mis sell fro the 90s so you never know.
Did you use the single premium reason for mis sell, this is the PPI put on at the start of the loan and repaid to term with interest, this is the most upheld of all reclaims.
Sorry have now started own thread.
No I did not use the single premium as a reason - as I do not think it is an actual reason - more of a con perpetrated by the banks - plus my form was already with them before i found it was front loaded.
When do I draw a line though? Its now nearly 5 months since my initial complaint?0 -

It could be possible depending on the year they were taken out, it could also be warranty for the products you bought and not PPI.0 -

Hi,
This is my first post on here so apoligies if I'm going over old ground but hopefully you guys can give me a few pointers to help me along.
I have two credit cards that I'm looking into claiming back the PPI on. I have an MBNA card that I opened back in 1997 & a Barclaycard that I opened in 2003. Both of these accounts had PPI on them until last month when I realised I didn't have to have it if I didn't wish. Obviously it's a long time ago that I opened these accounts but I was always under the impression that the PPI was neccessary. I couldn't honestly say hand on heart what exactly the conversations I had regarding the PPI but I know for certain that I wouldn't have taken it had I felt I had the choice because at the time I opened the accounts I was still living at home earning decent money so I had a fair chunk of money sitting in my savings account, I've also always been lucky enough to work for companies that paid sick pay so there was never any danger of me not being able to make my payments if I the worst happened & I had no work for a few months.
Today I've posted off the template letters to MBNA & Barclaycard requesting copies of my T&C's along with the cheque for £1 so I'll wait to see what comes back. I read the all the articles & guides on here but I just feel like my claim is a little hollow & would be grateful to hear other peoples thoughts & any other info or guidance people have to offer on what I can expect from now on.0 -

Hi forest dweller you sound as if you are in with a good chance obviously credit cards are a bit different from loans but yes if you feel you have been misold give it a go and welcome to the forum.0 -
Hi Cappo,
Thanks for the response. I feel like I have so many questions at the moment but I'll try to limit them to each stage.
Obviously I'm going to wait until I get the information I've requested back from both accounts but what am I looking for from it??? Are these claims valid right back to when I opened the accounts or just the last 6 years?0 -
You are right steve, people have won from online applications and I would tell people not to think that because it was done online, then you have no claim, you do not know until you make the claim.
Best to look for other, stronger, reasons for mis-selling.0
