Hi. This is my first post. Its great to see so much good work going on here. I have a couple of questions and any help at all is appreciated.

I had 2 loans with lloyds TSB. I lodged details of both at exactly the same time. The first they dealt with swiftly and I was very happy to get back £6,189. The other loan is now outside the 8 week period and Lloyds are dragging their feet, continuing to say it is being "worked on" but without committing to when I can hear back.

Question 1 - Knowing they have my details and have paid out one, should I persevere through Lloyds for the second loan or approach the Ombudsman?

Question 2 - I consolidated both loans mentioned above and do not *think* I had PPI on it, however as the consolidated loan was partly re-paying loans that included previous PPI, is this a basis for another claim? (Lloyds rejected saying there was no PPI on the actual consolidated loan).

Grateful for any advice from anyone with similar experiences. I think the work being done on this forum is fantastic!

    Thanks
    Archboldus.

    Hi all

Have had a success with MBNA claiming that they used a pre ticked box for PPI. Received back just over £16k. Does anybody know if Natwest used pre ticked boxes?

    Probably most of them did.

Some have won misolds on online applications but it is very much harder to prove as the lender will say that you had all your t&c's online etc but it is not impossible to win a claim
Yes it just occurred to me that I could also have mentioned the possibility that there was a pre-ticked box in the online application.

My main point was that as the OP could not prove (or even remember) who it was who had advised him to apply online, his story would be easy for the Bank to reject.

What Bank staff would have recommended an online application when they were heavily incentivised (paid commission) to actually sell the policies?

As Mark said it's a bit of a waiting game, i'd say if they've sent it to the calculations department there going to uphold it.

does the term uphold it. mean they will pay out or wont
