I tried not to obsess about it and distracted myself by trying to help others on here.
I did have paperwork for my loans, but otherwise the front-loaded consolidation chain and significant overlap of cover I had were exactly the same as in your case. The age of your loans does present an obstacle, I won't lie, but your other reasons are so strong you may get lucky.
All the best, we're all rooting for you!;)
Thanks for your comments. I settled early in August 2006 so that is still within the 6 years just. I did however have a credit report from February 2006 which gave details of loans back to 2000.
This had the start date of the loans, monthly payment amount & term of the loan so I sent them a copy with my complaint, just not sure if it will be enough. Hoping each loan can be back tracked from the very last one.0 -
:beer::beer::j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:money::money::money:Resend the complaint to FP use the same letter again, at the beginning put this is the second complaint regarding this PPI and that they misled you over who was responsible for the mis sell and they directed you to the price comparison website, let them know that they are responsible for the mis sell and if they do not look at your claim again and reconsider that you will take this to the FOS to look into.
If they come back again with more nonsense let me know what reply they give you this time and it may be that you have to go to FOS
Give FOS a ring and just ask for their advice, clearly this was not brokered, i said i had not heard of this broker!!, It is FP you pursue, let the FOS know that FP directed you to the comparison website and told you it was the broker and FP said they are not responsible, that will go down well with FOS.
It beggars belief that they are trying this on .0 -

I went through a broker with MD Nationwide to get my mortgage and having dug out the details I was sold ASU (which I believe is another version of PPI).
I have found out that MD Nationwide was bought by Deacon Homeloans, but I cannot get a contact number for anybody.
Are my thoughts of ASU correct? And can anybody point me in the right direction please?
Many Thanks

Hi there
Even though they have been taken over, have you a Nationwide local to you?
If not this should be online somewhere, maybe head office etc.
ASU, stands for Accident/Sickness/Unemployment, so yes this is the same as such. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
Wishing you luck on you reclaiming.
Not sure what the figure would be, but do you still have the agreement of when this was sold to you?
Even though the ppi was added within the loan, on the agreement there may be a part shown of the amount of PPI.
Well basically, what you should receive back, is all premiums you paid of the PPI, plus the relevant interest and normally an extra 8% interest of what a court would award.
I imagine a nice big lump sum.:)
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

 hi sorry if this has been asked before but can someone give me the CEO's email adress for Santandar. I had lodged a complaint about misselling of ppi and they rejected it saying that they hold no records. They completely ignored any info I sent and this is just a fob off and after 25 years banking with them I am not accepting0
