  • Hi Guys,

I need some advice. I was with Pay plan for 3 years but managed to settle my arrears by paying at least three quaters of the debt off and they settled. I have just received a letter from them offering £194 back on my ppi request but say this will go on the arrears even though I settled. Can they do this as it's so frustrating as I have a new baby and this would come in very handy!

    Thanks for any advice.

    Yes.
The amount they settled for was less than you actually owed, so this would happen with any of your creditors who you still owe.

    Hi shellnpaul,
If you don't work for a big nationwide company they sometimes will phone just to double check what benefits you were entitled to at work. They haven't asked you to provide proof of those benefits so I would not worry.
If they recognise the company you work for they seem to know that good benefits would have been in place and take your word for it ;)

Busy on here folks? I can see you have been doing good :T:T.

I received a questionnaire via lloyds (C&G) in regards or mortgage ppi, but I'm sure that was sent by mistake, due to another query in regards of the mortgage.

Besides I do not have the lenders/banks mortgage ppi anyway, so i contacted them to ask them to close the case as our query was not related to ppi lol, it was our mortgage adviser that actually forwarded our details to the customer care dept, but it must have gone to the incorrect dept, all sorted now and have since spoken to the lady in the correct area lol.:D

Thanks dilus you have put my mind at rest slightly, just hope it goes in my favour have had card since 2002, they asked what I could remember about sale and I said I didn't really remember how the card was taken out as was so long ago, I also told him I didn't really check monthly statements as I just paid a set amount each month so didn't know I had ppi till I found a few old statements, do you think it will go against me as can't remember how I signed up for card, many thanks michelle
