Please start your own thread if you wish advice. Before you do read the Newbie thread at the top of the page 3 times (it's a magical number that helps win appeals). Then either follow advice there confident in getting this invoice cancelled, or ask a question.
In the meanwhile google PALS and complain to your local one too.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -
I received a notice from Legion last month at the hospital where I work. To be fair, I was parked on double yellows, because there was nowhere else to park and I was late for a tribunal. I foolishly sent them £45 (I hadn't found this thread at the time), but then got a letter demanding £80. I emailed them to say I had paid, but they said they hadn't received it. They asked where I had sent it, so I replied. I didn't get a reply to that email, but have just had a letter, again demanding £80 and claiming I haven't responded to them! Am I right in thinking that I should continue to ignore them?0

It would be better if you started your own thread instead of tagging onto this one which is over a year old. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
HELP ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE
like everyone on here I seem to be experiencing the same misfortune., and getting quite fed up now...... right ill keep it brief.
I am a nurse and pay £19.50 mth out of my wages to park on hospital grounds, however there are never any spaces available at the time that my shift is due to start plus the fact they never built enough car parks so spaces are limited. On the day in question I have driven around for 40 mins and still did not find a space, this is where I decided to park in a disabled bay. Not the last one I may add and not close to the hospital.
On my return I was greeted with a parking Notice.....
I ignored it & ignored it & ignored it and the received letter after letter from DWP.
I Ignored these letters as well & Ignored them
and now I have a letter from Zenith Collections who I still believe to be DWP.
they have kindly offered to reduce my fee to £79.99 if I pay in 14 days instead of the £149 that it currently is.
I am fuming and don't see why I should have to pay a bloody fine when I pay nearly £20 mth and cant even get a space then. I wouldn't mind but I have been getting a lift for the last 3 mths so if anything they owe me...
Anyway should I ignore , pay or write a letter of appeal.
thanks0 -
you should start a new thread of your own then you can get bespoke advice tailored for your own circumstances
think about it , a new patient comes into your practice or hospital , they get a new appointment fresh with a doctor or nurse , they dont get tacked onto another appoinment where somebody else has been describing a similar illness , plus their paperwork isnt mixed in with the previous patient, nor is the medication either as it may be different or a different dosage
you catch my drift ?
use the red NEW THREAD button, top left of this parking sub-forum
thank you
ps:- its not the DWP either , that is the Department for Work and Pensions0 -
Hello Joanne 01
Please can you tell me what happened with your PCN as my daughter is a doctor at the hospital and attending an emergency there she had no alternative but to park on a disabled bay in order to get to the patient quickly and incurred a PCN. I think she should ignore it but I was wondering what you did?
Thank you

Joanne hasn't been back since December. I would suggest reading the Newbies thread in this forum and getting your daughter to post here herself.
Second hand information, whilst well meant, can lead to Chinese whispers and bad advice.0 -
I am reading all these suggestions of starting a new thread. I am desperate for advice and would like nothing more than to start my own thread, however I seem unable to? I'm pretty sure all these others couldn't either! And I am completely computer/forum literate, btw!0

Go back one page from here (to the forum thread list). Use the 'Back' button ( < ) to navigate there.
Scroll down the page a couple of clicks and you'll see a red oblong button on the left-hand side with 'New Thread' on it.
Press it!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
