Did you get the rejection letter and was there a POPLA code offered with it?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Email received. You have another PM, by the way and I'll respond to your email in more detail later today.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

I got a parking fine, PCN from Legion Group for parking on private land. After researching up on the company and other's past experiences with legion parking tickets i decided to ignore their letters and not pay the fine.

Not only was i taken to court for the parking charge notice that was unpaid, a friend of mine parked in a different car park was also taken to court after she ignored the fine from Legion also (she ignored the fine after i gave her poor advice to do the same as me)

This parking charge notice cost me a lot more having appeared in court and in hindsight i would have just payed the reduced fine cost straight away.

I thought people always got away with private parking charges but it seems as this company Legion doesn't like to let you get away with it.

I WOULD ADVISE EVERY ONE TO ALWAYS PAY PARKING FINES FROM LEGION.

    Good question. Short answer. No!
There won't be any court action or any other action, apart from a few letters. Unless someone knows different.
This is bad advice, i ignored the letters from legion group when they issued me with a parking charge notice - i was taken to court and ended up paying lots more than the cost of the fine. A friend of mine parked in a different car park was also taken to court for the fine

No but Legion mention the Council because that's what they want victims to think. It's still a fake PCN.

    And this bit is funnnnnny!!!:rotfl:

''However under the data protection act if a payment is received the charge notice recinded or once the case has been resolved through the courts your details will be removed immediately from our database."

    Errrrr...right! :D

Is this about a ticket from Feb 2012?

Your "research" is seriously flawed then as you could easily ignore them back then but the situation is quite different now!

And once again - that word "ADVICE", amazing how often it crops-up in posts from negative posters!

And why would you not advise them to appeal and take the case to POPLA then?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I say research but i mean in the form of other peoples past experiences which i found every one to say just not to bother with Legion parking fines. i know the laws have changed however i didn't see anyone else with the experience of being taken to court by Legion Group.

I guess they have changed how they oporate and pursue in collecting the fines.

if you have no grounds for appeal and are just ignoring the fine because of it being a parking charge notice is what i am talking about here.
