Sainsbury's Margarita made my girlfriend sick

My girlfriend suffered from violent vomiting over the weekend after drinking some Sainsburys Margarita (700ml). The bottle does not contain any ingredients, and she can only assume it has Aspartame in it.
She sometimes reacts badly if she intakes the artificial sweetener by mistake and it seems the only possible outcome seeing as we both ate and drank the same for the rest of the evening.
Does anybody know if A) the margarita mix does contain aspartame, and
do we have any right to complain and claim compensation as the label did not make it clear that a potentially posionous chemical was in the product.

It could have been something dirty which was on the bottle.
I was violently sick after drinking 75% of a bottle of Grolsch the other day. I drank it out of the bottle without first cleaning the bottle top. The beer wasn't bad as I know bad beer when I taste it. I can only assume that there was some nasty bacteria on the bottle...There is no excuse for rudeness. Ignorance on the other hand is excusable – you don’t know what you’re talking about.0 -
hmmm I see where you are coming from, but she drunk it from a glass so I don't know if it will have the same effect0

Marge: "Homer.. Have you been drinking?"
Homer: "No, well ten beers'''' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0 -

As a Sainsburys employee, I know if you ring the careline on 0800 636262 and press option 5. They will be able to find out for you the ingredients. My friend phoned them up to find out which products on the instore bakery counter were veggie friendly - as some products with icing contain gelatine.

This type of drink often contains artificial sweeteners. Whilst I think it's pretty shoddy that you can't find the ingredients easily I do also think that your girlfriend has a responsibility to herself to avoid things that potentially contain aspartame given that it makes her so ill. It's not like she's eating something that you'd not think in a million years might contain aspartame - chances are most ready-made sweetish cocktails will. Why risk it?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Is the ingredient a "poisonous chemical" or does she just have an allergy ?0

did she have a hangover ?Replies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0
