  • We're having Far Away by Nickleback. I'm a bit of a Rocker and my fianc! loves when I play this in my band.

The lyrics may make talk about leaving and missing someone but it means a lot to us :)

I like that song Hollie - but she says 'I know you haven't made your mind up yet' in it! A bit late once you are already married!
:rotfl: apart from that bit, more the how much she would do for him to prove her love :)

It is a beauty. You will just have to sing 'I know you have made your mind up now' really loudly over the top...

As I'd been married before I wanted ' Oops I did it again' by Britney ...but wifey wouldn't let me.

We settled for ' From this moment' by Shania Twain...lovely lyrics to it and ideal for a First Dance IMO.

    Good luck with everything anyway.

Oh I love that Shania song...I also love "We've only just begun" by The Carpenters. If I had a wedding video (which we probably won't) I'd definitely have that as the soundtrack!

I don't think you should mind what the lyrics say, think how many people have 'and I will always love you' etc, most wedding first dance songs are about leaving each other/dying/cheating I think you have to go with one that means something to you.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

We're having Iris by the Googoo dolls. It means alot due to some stuff that happened many moons ago! Also has some really nice words. Could cry just thinking about it!

I think we will end up having this song as our first dance. I am walking in to our first song 'Amazed' by Lonestar, and this is another of our songs.

We're not having a first dance but this was the track used by a friend as her first dance. The lyrics are lovely and it was a real moment watching them dance together to it. It makes me smile when I listen to it and think about my other half too.

  • We dont really have a song, but were both Johnny Cash fans so my OH chose a song called 'Rose of my heart' by Johnny Cash which is very fitting, and Johnny sings it with alot of feeling.

    so thats ours! :D
