Once you are logged in, it is Reward Saver flights you are looking for.

I found a page with which destinations are in which Zone. However after checking availability for a few destinations, I couldn't find that page again.

Reward Flight savers are basically for the whole of Europe. Off the top of my head, that's every destination marketed as a "Euro Traveller" or "Club Europe" fare, plus Moscow (which is a "World Traveller" "Club World" etc.).

Glad it helped. The only question is how quickly your miles will be credited as they say within 28 days. Hopefully you'll catch this quarter (I hope so as I did mine today and also hope to catch it).

    Hi

Sorry if this has been answered before -I did look. How do you find flights that only cost the £27 tax? We would like to use them for flights Edinburgh to heathrow. We have had 5 return flights with BA in the last few months. These flights qualified for Avios points. This is all so confusing. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.TIA.

As said before if you log in and search from the exec club (using pay with avios).

Did you know though that you could tag on a trip to Europe without paying any more avios or cash. Edinburgh - LHR is 9,000 plus £27 cash, Edinburgh - LHR to Paris, Berlin, Milan, Prague is also 9,000 plus £27 and you can have a few nights stopover in London on the way (or way back!)
  • This is my first post so I hope this is the right place.
I have collected avios in several different ways but have never had a 2000point bonus that everyone talks about.
Can anyone explain how they work (sorry if this sounds a bit thick!)
    Thank you

you need to have collected in a brand new way. For example only previously collected with T's now start collecting with Shell eligible for the extra 2000 avios if you have collected enough points / avios with Shell 150 points
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D
  • Hi Guys,

I previously held a BMI credit card and earned he 20,000 bonus miles on it, then changed to BA after the acquisition of BMI. Can I also obtin the 18,000 bonus miles on the Lloyds duo scheme?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Ross
  • Hello Everyone,

I am an Avios newbie and this is my first time posting on MSE too! I wonder if somebody could confirm if these steps are correct?

The story: usually I spend tesco clubcard vouchers in-store but I recently created an account online and discovered I ahv misplaced and hence not used a wopping £100.50 worth!!?! Some expire on 30/11/2012 so I need to move fast).

I want to convert the Tesco clubcard points into Avios points and I have never registered for Avios or BA Exec Club, so I'd like to try and get the bonus points mentioned in the MSE guide too.

From what I can gather, I think I should do the following to maximise the points I can get:

    1. Register on Avios

    2. Spend enough on the e-store (itunes maybe?) in order to get my first point.

    3. Exchange at least £7.50 clubcard points before 31st August. *I will exchange £92.50 to get 33,300 points (usually 22,200 without 50% extra Tesco offer).*

    4. Then receive the first 2,000 bonus points from Avios.

    5. Exchange exactly £7.50 between Sept 1st - 30th Nov and collect 1,800 Avios points.

    6. Then get the second 2,000 bonus points from Avios.

    7. Get a shell card and sign-up then recieive 25 points for registering online

So all in all I'd get a total of 39,126 points by the end of September.

It seems to good to be true!! How does the bonus scheme work?? Do I need a promotional code or does it occur automatically? I've only seen the chance to get a 2,000 points bonus written on MSE.

Also, can I transfer points from Avios to BA Exec? It's just that BA offers a flight to Jakarta (Indonesia) that I'd really like but Avios doesn't (only Singapore it seems).

    Thank you for your time

No you can only get the Tesco bonus points once - so do the estore thing to get your first point and then convert all your Tesco vouchers now to get the 50% extra. Not that it makes a huge difference - by converting that £7.50 now you get 2700, converting later you'll get 3800. When you have almost 40k that shouldn't really matter much!

You can get the shell points but I don't think you'd get a 2000 point bonus now - it looks like Shell won't transfer any Avios over until December - which will be too late.

And yes, you can transfer between BA and Avios whenever you want. It should happen instantly (though Avios should broadly have the same options as BA - it does vary but I didn't think they blocked whole routes?).

BA don't fly to Jakarta but you would connect onto one of their partners.
Note for an economy return it would be 100,000 miles plus approx £405 taxes. so you would still need another 60,000 Avios
You can purchase 24,000 BA Avios per annum for £399

Depending on how you are planning to get the rest of the miles and when to travel you may be easier just to buy a ticket for £800ish

Due to the high % of the fare that is the taxes economy redemptions are often not very good value

Hi I'm looking to exchange some Tesco vouchers before the end of the month and was wondering if I would qualify for the 2000 bonus points as well as the 900 points per £2.50?

This is a copy of my current Avios statement:-

    Date Description Avios collected
18/11/2011 RECALCULATED TO NEW CURRENCY 9,657
09/10/2011 Lloyds TSB AIRMILES Credit Card 2
08/09/2011 Lloyds TSB AIRMILES Credit Card 2

The strange thing is it also shows my balance to be 10730 which obviously doesn't add up.

My question is whether the transfer from Airlmiles to Avios counts as' earning an Avios point in the past year'?

I've left this right to the last minute so have no time to make a further purchase. Any help would be much appreciated.
