What are you calling your tables?

I let OH pick the table names so he felt included. After toying with superhero teams (Avengers etc) Hes settled on houses from 'A Game of Thrones' which is handy in a way as there are as many houses as there are tables.
We're having the house crest on a flag on each table.
Even I have to admit they look pretty cool.

we named ours after different gemstones, ruby, emerald, sapphire etc and had matching napkins and table crystals for each table. everybody loved our tables and said how pretty they looked. i think it adds character to your wedding and makes it more personal. we had napkin swatches on the table plan in case people didnt know what colour a gemstone was, they would just find the table with that colour napkins

I'm planning on a bit of a bird theme so will probably name the tables after birds. maybe not 'thrush' tho...:):)

Lol, Im making candy trees for table centres so am naming our tables after the sweets on each tree i.e. The Flying Saucers, The Lollipops, The Marshmallows etc

Two weddings I've been to recently had rugby union positions (no hooker table though :rotfl:) and cocktails, both of which suited the couples and were nice ideas I thought.

We are naming our tables after the mourne mountains where we live by.. Our wedding reception is literally at the bottom of one of the most famous one's 'Slieve Donard' and right on the beach! Most beautiful setting.. So its close to home and means something...

We were going to have international footballers, however a week before the wedding we still hadn't thought of the names, then we decided we would name them after 5 star hotels in Las Vegas, with the exception of our top table which was the 3+ star hotel in Vegas we were staying at. My friend who made did all the stationery also included an interesting fact about each hotel on the signs.

We are having Norwich City related things. My fianc! is a diehard fan, and we both have season tickets. It's a completely no football occasion, but I had to let him have one thing!

I named our tables after butterfly species as our theme was butterflies. We used names such as "Holly Blue" "Geranium Bronze" "Red Admiral" "Turquoise Blue" "Purple Emperor" etc and we then made fact sheets about each butterfly on where they came from etc with a picture of it and then i laminated it - got lots off fab comments about them
