Haha these made me :) some of them sound so funny though (my wedding's on the south coast and probs half my guests won't have a clue to the reference but never mind)... two on the list are Crinkle Crags and Coniston Old Man...!

We both love books and live in a road named after a famous dickens book so we are having a vintage literary theme. The centre pieces are gonna include old editions of books and so the tables will be named either after our favourite books or great literary authors. All a bit geeky but I love it anyway :-)

I think our invites are gonna be little books too :-)

We're getting married on a boat, so we're naming the tables after Shipping Forecast areas. OH's parents sail, and he spent a lot of time as a kid on boats. Plus, it's the one thing almost guaranteed to send me to sleep!

We're also using the music from that (Sailing By) during the ceremony - after we've had a friend sing, we're going to play that until we're finished signing the register/taking photos of that. It's almost perfect, cos it's a very rare day on Radio 4 that you get to hear the whole piece!
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

We were going to have Norwich City related things.. We are both season ticket holders and the fiance requested it! But since it was first mentioned he isn't so keen so not sure yet :(

  • We've been together for 8 years and have taken a few holidays together so ours are places we've been together. Each one has a photo on the other side of us in that place and a story/anecdote about that place e.g. me getting stuck on a camel in Egypt, or us meeting in Cardiff.

I thought they were nice conversation starters and people can giggle at what we looked like through the years!!!

That's a nice idea... We've not been to many exciting places though....

  • Some of ours aren't too exciting! Examples - West Midland Safari Park, Alton Towers, Cardiff, Llanharan (where we bought our first house) its a pretty even split 5/5 exciting/boring!!!

  • I chose name sinstead of numbers because I didn't people getting a heirachy complex.

I ummmed and arrred over different things, hobbies, place names but nothing really settled. I had jars of sweets as part of my table decorations so decided to have sweets of the ages as table names, and put a jar of each sweet to match that table name.

I've always liked the idea of just using numbers, but putting a picture on the sign of you and your OH at that age; ie "us aged 1", "us aged 2"... etc. It would encourage people to walk around the room and potentially raise a few giggles!

We're only having one large table so won't be able to use it, but I think it would work well for a larger wedding.
