you could have the card with a picture and the name (in a legible font) you could also add their latin name underneath for a bit of education
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5
  • We had afternoon tea (rather tan a hot meal) so named our tables after different types of tea - and I made all different teapot shaped signs!

I love this one, I might have to store that away as a future possibility as my OH and I both love tea! Could also work with coffee as well...

Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")
Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")
  • we are having a VW themed to our wedding, so tables are named after types of Volkwagen cars. However, I would like to have them after different kinds of VW's - I want Golf, Campervan, and 3 from either Polo, Scirocco, Beatle or Corrado.

OH wants to have the tables named after Golfs (as it's just really Golfs he likes, I love all VW's) - so he wants Golf Gti, Golf VR6, Golf R32, Golf R and one other I can't remember! So, it's not totally decided yet!!

The downside of naming all the tables "Golf XXX" is that it'll be harder for guests to quickly spot their table.
Maybe you could call the top table Golf?
  • We are having the tables named after herbs, with a pot plant of the herb (and a sign with it's name) on each table. The pot plants will then become the start of a herb garden, so will be a reminder of the day.

No Hadley that's cool! Me and OH are into cars, his business is kind of in the car trade. I'm a reall girly girl but still into them! We did say to name them after our cars we've had, ie my new car is called Fleur (when she gets here) one at the moment Scarlett, had a Maggie etc, EXCEPT, my OH says naming a car is daft except when he got his Jeep and got him to agree it fitted the name. EXCEPT that name is Optimus Prime! Who the hell do I sit on that table! lol

bet all the lads would love to be on that table :rotfl:
  • We have decided to name our tables, only because someone else said it went down really well and helps to personalise it.

We are naming ours after gameshows - sounds random but I have applied for a few and been on one with my H2B supporting me so we thought it was a nice way of making it more about us!

    Hth! :)

As I will be having my honeymoon in the Caribbean, all my tables will be named after the islands with the top table called Dominican Republic as that is where I am going.

One of the tables is where our french guests are going so that will either be named Guadeloupe or Martinique as they are french owned islands.
