White Sapphire - my snigger partner!

We'll both just giggle away like schoolchildren while the grown-ups do sensible things like plan weddings, then! :D

  • Ahem, anyway...

We haven't got round to discussing table names yet, but I've thought of naming them after flowering plants (we both like flowers), and having a small pot of said plant as tablecentres. Will be much easier than previous ideas of antique books, ribbons and candles, and then trying to think of a name as well!

The plants could go in the allotment afterwards, or be given as prizes to one lucky table member - piece of paper saying 'you won the pot plant!' hidden in the favours? hmmmm......

what do you mean, I am a child. . .
Plants are a good idea, my friends had them as centre pieces then gave them to people who had helped. Mine is still alive. Who knows how!

We had a Blackpool theme so had the following, we had facsimiles of old programmes for each venue as the "name" on the tables:

    Blackpool Tower
    The Winter Gardens
    North Pier
    Illuminations
    Pleasure Beach
  • My friend named her tables after different types of roses in her table decorations (Chesnut, Prairie, Mountain etc) and ran a little quiz for everyone before the starter to identify the link. It was a nice ice breaker to get chatting to people we hadn't met before on the table. :)
