Back from Lidl. £73.65 of which nearly £30 is meat! DD2 and BF are back from uni for the w/e so bought a chicken. Couldn't resist a couple of YS meats which I would have bought anyway but probs not this week, so now in the freezer :T It's a FF so spent quite a while playing freezer tetris :rotfl:

I read somewhere that Advantage is now available off prescription and therefore cheaply on the internet for those with resistant cat fleas. Different ingredients to F so should work.

  • Hi all
Went to sainsbugs last night and spend £80  but hopefully won't need too much more, ooh and spent £19 in Home B on bits and bobs.

On the subject of worming/fleas (aren't our little darlings a joy:rotfl:) we use Diatomaceous earth (I found info on utube, $bay etc) on the advice of a fellow MSr and have found it to be wonderful. You can dust it on their coats for fleas and add a little to food for other little critters, its organic and safe for humans. It also gets rid of cockroches, silverfish and many more beasties.

    Arrrrrggggghhhhhh:mad:

Another rant coming .... be warned

Went to Mr T to get some Whiskas and .... guess what ...... an empty shelf with "out of stock" labels against all the varieties - it's just not good enough!

Have now submitted a "comments" sheet via their website (not that it'll probably do any good) and I won't be going back again - will be sticking to Mr A.....

Did get a few bits - notably milk which was on offer @ 96p/Litre (still expensive but better than £1.31/L) and a couple of bits at the Co*op (Snick*ers bars which were 4 for £1:o and I'm tucking into one in a minute!).

    Total so far = £20.06

Lordy rising, that's simply not on! I know it's only a few occurrences but this, your other recent visit and me going time and time again in January to still not get the Persil on offer makes me think they're either up to something (e.g. advertising offers they can't fulfil but getting us in there anyway in the hope of us spending on other things) or there's a bigger problem somewhere up the line a bit.

I know you don't want to go back but you really should complain on the 'phone to them. They'll give you something as recompense and there won't be any minimum spend attached. You can then use it in an online order for something you really need later. Our voucher was valid for 3 months. So sorry they've mucked up again and made you angry on a Saturday. Enjoy your chocolate bar. ;)

Ooooh, now that's interesting hex2, thank you. I'm off to have a hunt around through Quidco now as I only use Adv*nt*ge. Well, tried Fr*ntl*n* once on my boy and it didn't come close to getting through his bear coat and my girl couldn't be found until the squirty bottle was put away! :rotfl:

    See you later,

Done the first shop of the month split between Aldi and B&M - managed to spend pennies away from £30. This did include laundry detergent and fabric conditioner, toothpaste and shower gel and some cleaning bits - probably the best part of £10 worth.

Hopefully that's the household stuff needed for the month - everything is in stock in the house.

I've set myself a tough budget this month and I'm already almost a third of the way through it:eek:

    A whopping 2p spend today!
I complained about some doughnuts from mrT and got a £5 giftcard through the post. Bonus.
    I bought the b1g2f easter eggs (£2.50), a bag of SR flour (52p) and 2 packs lurpak butter (2 for £2), minus £5 = 2p!
Why can't all shopping trips end like that?:rotfl:

......now we just have to resist the easter eggs

Hi all - another grocery NSd here. I have been to a craft lesson all day and managed to resist the tempting goodies on sale - very proud of myself.
