On my own tonight for dinner - had Tandoori chicken drumstick, HM wedges and spicy beans. I never eat baked beans without spicing them up - freshly ground black pepper and a dash of Peri Peri sauce in these ones.
I think we will have a roast tomorrow - got some pork in the freezer.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Ooh, wish I could help with that Suffolk lass but I usually get the tablet from the vet every year when my beauties have their booster jabs. I do spend a fortune on flea stuff though.
Do you maen you have a MS way of dealing with fleas? Would you mind sharing please?
I'm afraid mine do eat their 'playmates' (ground animals not birds thankfully), well I say eat, half eat is more like it and I had the pleasure of sitting down at my computer with no socks on to discover the remains of one with my bare toes the other day. I was not amused but OH found it very funny apparently!
Take care,
Spigs
Thanks rfta and Spigs I rather thought it would need the pukker stuff from the vets. I'm afraid my flea solutions are tried and trusted rather than MS - Stronghold pipettes in the back of the neck for the cats and if we ever have any infestation in the house Rug Patrol - it's like a shake and vac powder that kills them at all stages of the lifecycle for several months (smells OK but I don't stay in the room while it's doing its stuff) - Amazing sell it but worth googling for cheaper suppliers. It does for silverfish and all sorts of other undesirables too.
My Vets do a buy 6 get 2 free on the Stonghold from time to time but I tend to use it only when they get them, not every 6 weeks and I can't actually find them (I know I have 12...) at the moment.

I dont know if this will help you but my mum always gives her cats (all 12 of them!!!!) garlic capsules in their food - the cheapo ones from the supermarket is fine and the garlic repels the fleas! Since she has been doing this for the past 7 or so years she hasnt had any uninvited guests on the cats!
Dundeedoll - I've got to ask about your road-kill jar mentioned in your sig - what's that then?
Everyone dieting - I just wanted to say that I have noticed there are some very impressive weight losses going into sigs - well done to all of you! March is traditionally the month when most people drop the diet so don't get complacent or give up! - we all started one this week (again!) but only DS is losing. I think I'm gaining and I have a job interview next week. Might fast tomorrow to reset consumption expectations after the cold spell justified the starchy foods I've been eating. In the meantime I'll just think thin thoughts until Tuesday and not look in any mirrors :rotfl:
Off to meal plan and compare prices now...

Ooh 14 pages already! Treated myself to a haircut the other day and when I told them at work where I had it done it was oooooooooooh cos its an expensive shop! Got an experienced junior to do it though so even with a £3 tip it was only £25. Thats coming from my ebay sales though. I must restrict my buying now thru lack of space! did ok in Feb with a few quid left so I guess my good spending habits are now well learned. Got some nice minced beef in Lidl the other day it was on offer half price-apparantly they have a few meat offers on at the mo. Ive got Ocada coming tomorrow-thats new to me but I will enjoy the free champers they are bringing! Took youngest to Jobcentre to sign on this week and son is out of work again-everytime I think we are getting sorted it goes wrong! Also told that the shop I work in may be up to lease out as sales are poor and being a small family company they are genuine-however I won't panic as there are lots of empty shops in the area so lots of chice for new businesses. Im still printing off kingsmill vouchers to use for my 50/50 loaves-just type in kingsmill voucher into google and you will find them. Bought some knitting yarn today as my new hobby will be to knit my socks this year for next winter! I quite like knitting but can't handle the big items any more.
Re cats and fleas I got my Frontline recently from bestpets online. Vets are too expensive. Use a puffer whenever I can but not really good enough.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

Hope your back improves - I had a fall some years ago and shattered a vertebrae and still get episodes from time to time. The last time it needed A&E and I was told to take a pain killer with codeine in to give the muscles a chance to relax (then you can tell if you've damaged it or it is "just" in spasm) - I do empathise. Take it easy.

It's unloved money found on the road / pavement / floor. Started with a friend saying what's the smallest coin you'd bother to stop for? Jan i found £1.18 but feb started very well with 3 pound coins in as many days :T then a tenner, but that was in the uni and i handed it in - claimed by student. Then another tenner! Under a park bench! No obvs place to hand it in hence rather fine total so far :jMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
