    Arrrrrggggghhhhhh:mad:

Another rant coming .... be warned

Went to Mr T to get some Whiskas and .... guess what ...... an empty shelf with "out of stock" labels against all the varieties - it's just not good enough!

Have now submitted a "comments" sheet via their website (not that it'll probably do any good) and I won't be going back again - will be sticking to Mr A.....

Did get a few bits - notably milk which was on offer @ 96p/Litre (still expensive but better than £1.31/L) and a couple of bits at the Co*op (Snick*ers bars which were 4 for £1:o and I'm tucking into one in a minute!).

    Total so far = £20.06
I went in Mr T especially for the Yorkshire tea bags last week - on special offer - guess what - empty shelf!

  • Hi Rising - just thought I would let you know that I have been to my Mr T to get some Whi$kas (my cats only Fel*x GAIL but of late seem to not be too fussed on that either:mad:) so I thought I'd get a couple of boxes of Whi$kas and maybe might remind them that they do actually like the 12 boxes of GAIL I have in MunniMart:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, but, yes, you've guessed it........... sold out too:mad::mad::mad:

mmmmm the more I see the more I think Spigs has hit it on the head and it's a gimmock to get people into store in the hope they'll spend as they're there anyway.

Going to DMs tomorrow and there is a big Mr T via a slight detour on the way home - depending on what time I get away, I may come home that way.....

your cats sound like mine .. I've tried just about everything and have wasted so much money trying different foods (local cat rescue has done rather well out of it tho':)) so have now given up and am sticking to Whiskas (Big cat).

Wee cat is just sooo fussy it's ridiculous - she'll only eat pate style foods & used to eat the really expensive wee Gourmet tins but is now really picky with those too. She'll eat ham and I've worked out it's cheaper to buy a pack of value ham than anything else she'll eat so once the wee tins I've got are finished, that's what I'll be doing.

Just be careful tho Rising, as there are the nutrients in cat food that they need which cannot be found in human food. My MIL has spent a lifetime on giving her cats more human food than she should and they have suffered loss of teeth, kidney problems and other health issues for this very reason. It's okay now and then, but still try and give her cat food as much as you can;)

There was a £5 off £35 spend in yesterdays sun according to hot deals. I dont buy a daily paper but do if theres a voucher like that in one, I missed yesterdays though.

Thanks for that, will keep my eye out for them.

Thanks Muncha .... I am aware that human food isn't the best option but the problem is that wee cat would probably be quite happy with dry only (they get a good quality one).

However, I'm reluctant to go down this route as there are a lot of benefits of feeding wet and it would really more of a treat a couple of times a week rather than a regular meal.

It's really the only time I can give both of them a thorough check over for things like ticks:eek: or scratches etc that may need more investigation and, being a tortie, she's not the most *pliable* person!

Ah that's good, just wanted to make sure you were aware as wouldn't want the little one to suffer - good she eats the biscuits tho. I have noticed that one of mine is preferring the biscuits to the wet food at the moment, even tho she does have a little nibble of the wet food at each meal time.

Bought some flour to make bread last night, then discovered the breadmaker needs a part. Which has now been ordered but £8 (not all in the grocery budget) for a loaf of bread isnt great.

more milk bought and 1pint watered down 50:50 (dont know if thas a good amount) but with dessert for tommorrow and bread have spent 4.38 today. Have £2.50 left until Wednesday evening, might be quite close. Think I will need another 4 pinter and 3 loaves of bread.

Well my first Ocado order arrived tonight minus the free champers! Not impressed! It wasn't showing on the invoice when I ordered online last week, so I emailed customer service who assured me that the voucher for it had gone through properly. It's not on my bill tonight and not on the delivery. Driver called her manager as Customer service closed altho it says on the invoice open til 11pm. Glitches in the system! I will be on the phone tomorrow chasing it. Otherwise good service-all items present and correct but delivery 45 mins early(not a problem as I had 9.30 pm booked) Will I use them again? 50/50-that will depend on CS!

Watering down the milk-I do 3 parts milk to one part water on full cream milk(not SS or skimmed) I think you may find it a little too watery but you may be happy with it. If not, buy some pore tomorrow and top it up!
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults
