How to spend a lottery win.

I feel I should reply to this, since winning the lottery is actually my goal in life.
In no particular order, given a really mahoosive win, I would:
- buy a thatched cottage somewhere lovely, near a river and woods.
- buy one of those houses/cabins by a lake you see in American movies, with a jetty, surrounded by forest.
- buy an appartment in New York.
- buy my mother & step dad a really nice boat.
- pay off my brother's mortgage + money as a gift too.
- treat my mum to whatever she might want - clothes, car...etc
- get a personal trainer and have meals cooked for me to tackle weight loss.
- get a makeover.
And lots of others small things, obviously, like travel to the Caribbeans...etc
I really can't understand those people who would go back to work when they wouldn't have to. Madness!!!0 -
If I won the lottery I would like to buy a really nice house where my family could live comfortably. Ideally it would be in its own grounds that the children could have a wonderful time playing in.
I would buy a nice family car and also a little extravagence in the shape of a sports car or two for me to zip around in whilst kid free during the day.
Mine and the kids wardrobes would get a drastic makeover. I could go from drab to fab in the time it would take to run round the shops like a headless chicken. I would love, love, love to recreate that scene from the film 'Pretty Woman' where the shop assistants refuse to serve her and then she goes back laden with bags and asks 'do you work on commission, big mistake, big, huge'. Classic scene
I would strive to make the lives of my family and friends easier. What would mean the most to me though is being able to give some money to charities I hold dear to my heart. One in particular made a huge difference to my life at one stage and to be able to give back to it would mean the world to me.
I am a worthy candidate to scoop the next win, if only someone up there could see this and fix it for me I would be eternally gratefull :beer:If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants ~ Isaac Newton0 -

Oh god yes, I forgot about the plastic.
I would have everything nipped, tucked & lifted (lifted to the max:rotfl:).londonsurrey wrote: »Has anyone here ever seen the machines that exercise for you? I once saw the strangest "gym" in the US. It was attended by sedate older ladies, and the various machines rolled, massaged and moved you.
Essentially, they moved you and your limbs so that you were ostensibly "exercising", but you simply lay/sat there whilst bits of you were moved by the machines! I've never seen the like of it anywhere else.
Like toning tables? I likes that idea. Providing it didn't spill my cocktail or Champagne, being as I'm a lottery mi££ionaire, of course.:hello:

Hmmmm I have not only seen those machines, I know someone who has used them. My sister in the laziest person on the planet and they are the answer to her fitness prayers.
I have tried convincing her of the benefits of just going for a run or bike ride by ones self but she thinks I am mad. She is truly certifiable but a damn sight fitter than me grrrrrr. If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants ~ Isaac Newton0 -
